The Ambassador watched the group from afar, his red eyes focusing on the one with white hair and two swords. The Ambassador could sense he was a danger. The whole group was obviously not here for peace, they were here for something else. Why else would Celestia send Pirates of all things?

He creeped into the shadows, moving around the castle quickly.

------

"I'm glad we can sit down and have a nice civilized meal together, my friends," Said King Gryphus, smiling. None of the members had touched their food. "Though, I don't think I can call it a meal if you aren't eating."

"Let's just say we're wary, Gryphus," Hurricane said, forking at her food absent midedly.

"I suppose you would be, seeing as how you and I don't exactly have the nicest history, as well as our countries having our little clashes," Gryphus said, taking a bite of his food.

"Hardly call it a little clash, more like an attack on our capital, destroying a large portion of your fleet," Hurricane said.

"That's because its survival of the fittest, my dear," Said a voice in the shadows of the hall. A lean looking unicorn whom resembled a batpony walked out, his red eyes glistening.

"And who might you be?" Asked Hurricane, causing the batpony to smile.

"Blood Drop, my dear. You must be Hurricane, Legendary Pirate Captain who couldn't even save her own home or her pirate isle," Said Blood Drop, getting an angry look from Gryphus.

"Now Blood Drop, lets not make any jests," Gryphus said, looking back to Hurricane.

"I have a proposal for you, Gryphus. Join Equestria and help us battle Nightmare Moon's Forces, and gain a new alliance, or stay with Nightmare Moon, and be crushed either way," Hurricane said, getting a laugh out of Blood Drop.

"Oh, Ms. Hurricane, you have a funny sense of humor. How many battles have you won so far? Two? And we've all but destroyed your whole Military. Face it, you're grasping at straws," Said Blood Drop, suddenly teleporting in a flurry of shadows as he appeared next to Hurricane. "You've already lost, you just don't know it."

Hurricane didn't look Blood Drop in the eye, continuing to give her proposition to King Gryphus. "It will help your country in the long run."

"I'm sorry, Hurricane. I thought you came here to surrender to us. My alliance with Nightmare Moon is permanent, and shall not be faltered," Gryphus said, leaning back. "You may stay the night on good terms, but you will leave tomorrow morning at once. That is all."

Blood Drop snickered, teleporting away from Hurricane. "Like I said, you already lost."

Ashes snorted, getting attention from Blood Drop. "What was that, Horse? Afraid to face the music?"

Ashes just scoffed, and stood up from his position, his wolf's head amulet hanging from his neck.

"Afraid? Sadly, Bloodbornes were trained not to feel fear in the face of an enemy. Fear is one of a monsters most powerful weapons. If you can scare a pony, then you can kill them," Ashes said, approaching Blood Drop. "It is also one of the Bloodborne's most powerful weapons. A scared monster is a reckless monster, and untrained monster. A killable monster.

Ashes was now nearly kissing Blood Drop, face to face. Blood Drop's poker face was failing, face to face with his race's sworn enemy. "So, tell me, Bat, are you afraid?"

"Of course not, why would I be afraid of you?" asked Blood Drop, trying to maintain his calm.

Ashes smiled, his eyes flickering yellow. "You're lying, Blood Drop."

"That is enough! Guards, please escort them to the inn!" Gryphus shouted.

------

The group sat inside the inn, readying their weapons. Ashes cleaned his silver blade, his face hard. Hurricane sharpened her dual cutlasses, as well as loading balls into her guns. Rose cleaned her Katana, Weaver fiddled with her blades, Wick made different potions. It was like watching a well oiled war machine ready their gears.

"I want you to leave Blood Drop to me. Necromancers are nasty business. Very weak in general, but the monsters they create are near impossible to slay unless you have the right tactics," Said Ashes, not looking up from his blade.

Suddenly, the door opened, showing one of Darius's lieutenants , covered in armor, a group of guards behind him.

"It's time."

The group left together and just as Darius had said the kitchen exit had been left open for them and they snuck in quiet as a mouse. The kitchen was fairly small since it was where they kept most of their servants who at the time was mostly Zebras. They snuck out of the kitchen one by one, making sure to stay in the shadows so none of the night patrols saw them and sounded the alarm.

They gathered up quickly together with Darius's men before splitting off, Hurricane and 'Weaver were off towards the guard barracks to neutralize or kill them. They were flying high and fast and hiding behind pillars when a guard came a bit too close, 'Weaver dragged him in and put one of her poisoned blades into his throat while muffling his beak and trying to spill as little blood as possible. The Griffin's body went limp within seconds and they impaled him on his own spear in the roof shadows behind a pillar before they flew off to the guard barracks.

Meanwhile Rose, Ashes and Wick were picking off guard patrols and single guards wherever they ran across them on their way to the royal chamber level, they found an servant room which was full of Zebras and other ponies who had been bought on the slave market or brought from conquered lands. They were happy to be liberated and ran through the cleared halls towards their freedom, some of them stayed and helped Rose, Ashes and Wick hide the corpses of the guards inside the servant quarter.

Eventually they reached the top level of the castle, Wick mentioned he was feeling nauseous, almost as if someone was using magic to block his mind from using spells, not that he'd be able too but whoever was doing it didn't want to take any risks and soon enough Wick fainted from the pressure.

Suddenly a large bone demon smashed through a wall and smashed Rose into a wall, knocking her unconscious before anyone could react. A cackling laughter could be heard and the ambassador of Nightmare Moon from earlier stepped out of the shadows of the wall that the bone demon came from, his eyes were glowing green and his horn magic colour was a twisted black and green.

Having neutralized Ashes' companions from helping him the necromancer and his bone demon was all that stood between Ashes and the kings chambers.

Ashes drew his blade, ready to fight the necromancer. The skeleton monster would be easy to kill: Blades wouldn't be able to destroy it, but a simple expulsion of telekinesis would destroy the Skeleton. It would be dealing with the Necromancer himself, and what he could conjure up. Wick started to awake, as well did Rose, and they both looked at the creature in awe.

"Get out of here! I'll deal with these ones!" shouted Ashes, looking at the necromancer.

The two ran into the throne room, leaving the Necromancer's monster and the necromancer himself. Blood Drop smiled, looking into Ashes' amber eyes.

"Ready to die, horse?" Asked Blood Drop, black tentacles ripping out of the batpony's back. They opened up, showing bright red tendrils pushing outwards.

"I should ask you the same question," Said Ashes, his horn glowing. A massive push of amber magic smashed into the skeleton monster, knocking its bones everywhere.

The necromancer opened three more portals in the ground, and out came dead gryphons, deformed with massive bone tendrils and out of place limbs.

"Like these little creations? I call them "Avadamorphs." Quite literally, death being," Said the necromancer, as the Avadamorphs charged Ashes.

Ashes quickly lopped off ones head, dodging the other two. The monster didn't fall, instead turning an randomly slashing at the air, unable to see. Ashes just stared in awe, watching as the monsters approached him once more.

He slashed once more at the headless monster, tearing off a tendril, wing, and arm. It fell to the floor, convulsing as blood splattered out of its open wounds. Ashes was then charged by not only two of the original spawners, but 3 more. These three were zebras and ponies, one without a bottom half, replaced with tendrils that slashed rapidly at Ashes.

The limbs.

Ashes dodged multiple attacks, his silver blade hacking wildly at the monsters limbs. He fell three in the next charge. He quickly drew one of his pistols, firing a shot into the head of one of the monsters, making it fall off. The head then grew a bunch of tendrils, and scuttled off.

Suddenly, the bodies of the fallen monsters slowly regenerated their limbs, and got up. It seemed he could only stop them for a limited time, or until the Necromancer was fell.

The head of the monster he had 'killed' scuttled over to the door, as one of Darius' men jumped in, a repeater rifle in hand. The head then jumped onto the head of the live griffon, tore it off, and replaced the original head, seemingly taking control over the griffon.

Ashes then turned back to the necromancer, as he charged Ashes.

Bad move.

Ashes quickly jumped high into the air with the aid of his telekinesis, enchanted his blade with a heat spell, and slammed back into the ground, lighting the Avadamorphs on fire. They slowly melted away into nothing, and Ashes turned towards the Necromancer.

"Time to die."

Suddenly, a bullet ripped through Ashes' shoulder. The griffon who had been commandeered by the Avadamorph head had hit Ashes, knocking him over. Ashes drew his other handgun, and shot the head off the avadamorph once more, blowing the skull and head alike into fragments. Ashes made it unsteadily to his hoofs, before he was kicked over again, three tendrils hovering over his head.

"You lost, Bloodborne," said Blood Drop, smiling. "I will kill you and your friends, just like I killed you!"

Ashes gasped for air, as the tendrils surrounded him, depriving him of breath. He slipped into unconsciousness quickly.

------

Ashes stood in the middle of a battlefield, the flames burning around him. The fog and cool air caused him to shiver, as he looked around, the bodies of Gryphons, batponies, and ponies alike laying dead around him. He heard wailing in the distance, as he saw a female pony sprinting away from another pony, decked in full armor, rusty from years of battle. The female pony seemed to have northern tribal tattoos he had seen on barbarians on one of the many trips he had made up to the frigid north to kill a troll or whatnot, and the other pony was bearing a purple cape with the sun on it. He quickly came upon her, knocked her down, drew a massive Zweihander, and brought it down upon the pony multiple times, splattering blood upon his armor.

"I see you've joined us, Ashes," Said a voice, causing him to turn around. There stood Steel, covered in exactly the same armor that the pony who had just slaughtered the female.

"What is this?" asked Ashes, looking around.

"I was not a good pony, Ashes. I was a warrior, like you. But I didn't give my life to good. I gave my life to orders. I gave my life to killing because I was told to. This is my eternal punishment." Ashes said, looking at the younger version of himself, slicing a barbarians leg off, before driving his blade through his head. "Watch my past sins over and over."

"So I'm dead?" asked Ashes, getting a nod from Steel.

"For now. Let me just watch this last show of hate and murder, one more time," Said Steel, watching as the pony sliced more barbarians, before 5 approached him at once. His hind leg was cut off, and he fell onto the floor, as the barbarians bashed and sliced him apart before Ashes and Steel's eyes.

"It hurts, to know that I went out hating everypony, wanting to kill more and more," Steel said, watching as the barbarians moved on, leaving Steel's bloody corpse in the clearing. "You have unfinished business, Ashes. We can't allow you to die yet."

--------

Ashes opened his eyes, glowing bright amber. He made his way to his hoofs, looking at the necromancer looking at him in awe.

"H-how...?" asked the Necromancer, backing up.

"Not time to die, yet." Ashes horn glowed bright amber, enchanting him with a speed spell. He drew his silver blade, and phased towards Blood Drop, reaching him in an instance. Ashes slashed at him with insane speeds, his blade cutting through Blood Drop, but not drawing any blood.

He backed up, leaving Blood Drop looking at himself. Suddenly, blood exploded from a large amount of slashes on Blood Drop's body, falling into chunks. Ashes sighed, and collapsed, blood pouring from his shoulder.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Wick heard a wet explosion from the room, and he and Rose ran back inside. The interior was a mess, blood and chunks of flesh strewn across the ground. The stink made him gag, bile rising up in his throat. He spotted Ashes' body amongst the massacre, his barely breathing body soaked with blood. Blood Drop was nowhere to be seen, though Wick wouldn't be surprised if his remains were scattered about the room with everything else. Wick practically dragged Rose, who was retching in the corner over to his body. Rose stared for a moment, taking a second to realise that that a broken body in the centre of the room was that of Ashes. Suddenly choking back a sob, Wick had to stop her wrapping her hooves around him. Wick muttered profanities under his breath, pulling out what potions he had left from his pack. He was extremely low. What he had left might not even save him, but it might just stop the bleeding to give him a chance.

He poured a thick and gelatinous liquid over the wound on his shoulder. There was only just enough of it left to cover the many smaller cuts. They were hard to find, his coat was soaked with blood and Wick wasn't sure how much was his. He pulled out the few bandages he had, placing them on the wound. “Wind, I need to to press down on this. If his breathing slows down or stops, give him this” He pushed a clear potion into her hooves “If he comes round and is in pain, give him this. Only half, if he asks. Don't use all of it in one go. Do you understand” Rose nodded, suddenly pressing down on the bandages, nearly dropping the potion and syringe. “Don't drop either on the floor. I don't know what, or who we are standing in, but they can't be sanitary.”

Wick tried to tiptoe through the rest of the gore, but it wasn't much use. He legs were smeared with blood up to halfway up his legs, bits of other pony stuck under his hooves. He'd have to be the one to take out the king. He couldn't wait for back up, no doubt the king had heard the commotion and was preparing to flee, if he hadn't done it already. The castle felt oddly quiet now, the screams and clashes of metal and explosions a distant memory. Maybe they were still going on, but all that Wick could hear was his heart thumping in his chest. Now would be the time he would give himself a shot. Remove that crippling fear inside of him. But his last dose had gone to Rose and Ashes. Hopefully he would need it more. The door at the end of the hall was left ajar. Swords and spears were scattered around the entrance from where guards had given up their posts. Wick silently walked toward the door and slipped inside.

The calm and powerful griffon that had entertained them at dinner was gone. Left was a weak old bird, his feathers greying and falling out in places, his belly fat from too much comfort and not enough work. He was bent over a small chest, gems and gold chains in his claws. His head snapped toward Wick.

I see Blood Drop has failed and my guards have left me” he dropped the treasure from his claw, and pulled out a heavy looking hand cannon, pointing it toward Wick. Wick had to summon all his strength not to flinch. “Ah well, no worries, the Nightmare Queen will set them right, send me another, stronger pony to protect me. More loyal guards that'll stick to their posts. She needs me, she won't just let a usurper wander in and ruin all this”

Wick smirked. Probably not the wisest move. “Gryphus, you stupid old fool. She isn't going to share anything with you. She wants to keep you strong enough to help her crush Celestia's armies, but weak enough so that when the battle is won she can crush you like the insect you are.”

You lie!” Gryphus shouted, his claw shaking on the trigger. He was trying to get the courage to kill him, Wick realised.
Wick pulled his smallest, most powerful explosive from his bag, igniting the fuse with a flash of his horn. He jumped toward the king, shoving the explosive down the barrell, pointing his claw skyward. The bomb exploded before Gryphus could shoot, the gun tearing down the barrell. The force took out a few of his claws and burned and Wicks hooves. He tried to not cry out in pain. The force sent them both tumbling, with Wick landing on top of Gryphus. Wick pinned him, wincing as he saw his forehooves were burned black, the hoof cracked. Gryphus struggled under him, suprisingly weakly.

Just give up, fool!” Wick spat at him “This need not end in death. Give up and pass the crown on. We can protect you from Luna!” Wick knew it was all a lie. Alive, he still had power and followers. Dead, they would scatter and the transition would be easier. It looked like he had called his bluff.

Fuck you, horse”

Wick shrugged and pulled out a potion from his pack. It was one of his last. He forced the potion into the griffons beak, further insults getting muted.

Fuck you too, bird”

Wick smashed the glass with his hoof and jumped back. Gryphus screamed as shards of glass and potion pouring down his throat. He tried to turn and spit it out, but only blood came out. He tried to stand, then paused, a curious look on his face. Then the screaming started. He fell onto his back, his stomach swelling. Slowly at first, then it grew, his chest inflating now. The skin on his belly began to tear, blood pouring from the wounds. Still it grew, his screams becoming chocked and hoarse. A hard crystal-like substance began to pour from his mouth and the screaming stoppped. His belly still expanded however, until suddenly the skin and fat could no longer hold. His belly split like a balloon, a large, hard, purple crystalline structure was left. It still expanded, leaving his lower body and forelegs intact, but splitting up his chest and neck, smashing through his jaw. The top of his face was alight though. Wick pulled the solvent from his bag.

Guess I should have given this to you sooner?”

He poured it onto the purple crystal, which dissolved away immediately, leaving only the torn open body.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Cloudchaser on Sun 16 Feb 2014, 16:56

Night Weaver and Hurricane arrived at the guard barracks, it was quiet.

"They might be sleeping.." Hurricane whispered just loud enough for Night Weaver to hear her.

"Maybe, it's still too quiet, I can't pick up any sound at all and I have more sensitive hearing than you, get ready." 'Weaver said and they counted down to three before kicking the doors open.

The barracks were mostly empty, only a half drunk guard had been left behind to sleep off his drinks. 'Weaver quickly darted across the room and grabbed the guard who awoke in a surprise, rammed him into a wall and put her poisoned claw blades in between where his jaw bones were connected to his skull.

"Where the hell are the guards?" 'Weaver yelled at the guard, the guard looked at her and spat her in the face.

"Not telling you whor-" He was cut off by 'Weaver sliding her blades a little closer to penetrating his skin.

"You see these blades? They're tipped with poison from the most venomous spider in existence and I have enhanced the poison with alchemy so that you die an agonizing death if even a drop of it enter your blood flow. All your limbs will freeze and burn from inside, your lungs will crumple to dust, your heart will burn in agonizing pain until finally your brain shuts down and all you can feel is the pain until you die. So TALK OR I WILL SHOVE THESE BLADES INTO YOUR SKULL." 'Weaver was getting tired of bullshitting around, something was wrong.

The guard looked at her and then down to her claw blades and then back at her, he was contemplating if he could overpower 'Weaver before she could get the poison into his blood flow, he decided not to try though.

"The king knew of your plans to kill him thanks to that Blood Drop pony, the rest of the guards are on their way to kill Darius." The guard said.

"Thank you, now since you called me a whorse earlier I'm not gonna let you go and who knows what you'll do once we leave so good bye." 'Weaver said and shoved her blades into his skull and dislocated his jaw entirely before she let the body fall limp to the ground, spasming in the pain the body was going through before a few seconds later it stopped and went fully limp.

They quickly made their way over to Darius's quarters and found him defending himself against a bunch of guards, he was obviously the superior combatant and he had already felled quite a few of them but his stamina was running low, Hurricane and 'Weaver quickly jumped into the fray and helped him kill the rest.

"Thank you, my uncle obviously knows of our plans so let us hurry to his chambers and pray that your friends are still alive. That Blood Drop fellow is a Necromancer and is very dangerous, as you probably know 'Weaver, bat pony unicorns are extremely rare but when they are born they are trained in dark arts from a young age." Darius explained while they made their way towards the Kings chambers.

When they arrived at the chambers they saw the mess of what must've been the Necromancer and whatever remained of the King. Darius went over to his uncle, kneeled down and took out his blade and cut off the head and taking off the crown. 'Weaver and Hurricane went over to Rose, Ashes and Wick and checked up on what they had missed and how they were doing. Ashes had regained consciousness and was sitting with Rose at his side, Wick was finishing up some last minute check ups on Ashes.

The sun was starting to rise in the horizon, Darius looked out and then looked back at his own men arriving at the scene.

"Sorry we got held up, Sire. It seems as someone had tipped off the guards and we had to fight our way through the palace guards on the lower levels to get here, I see the deed has been done. What should we do now, sire?" The lieutenant asked.

"Ring the bells to call our people to gather at the palace, the news of the king being dead shall be known." Darius said and the lieutenant nodded and then left, a few minutes later the palace bells could be heard and within the next hour a large crowd had gathered outside the palace.

"This is it, my friends. Thank you for all you've done here today, we'll begin talks with Canterlot as soon as possible for now though a new king is shall be crowned and I shall restore our race to our former glory." Darius said and thanked all of them one by one before he went out onto the balcony and lifted up the head of Gryphus.

"The king is dead, long live King Darius!" The royal announcer yelled at the crowd, a mix of cheers and silence with some boos were heard before the cheering drowned out everything else.

"So now what?" Ashes asked and looked at Hurricane and Rose.

"Back to Canterlot, I guess. These lands are quite far away from the attacks of Nightmare Moon and I'm sure she's been busy while we were gone, Celestia will know what to do next." Rose said and helped Ashes to his feet as all of them started to make their way back to their ship.

They left the Griffin lands behind them as the sun rose, Celestia had just regained an old ally and for once the 'morrow was looking just a little brighter..

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Princess Blueblood on Mon 17 Feb 2014, 21:18

Ashes had cleaned himself up, washing off the blood and gore of the battle. He felt a little more vulnerable after fighting the Necromancer, as if he couldn't kill every monster himself. He would have to be more careful. Especially now that he had a personal attachment to Rose. The ship had working showers and everything, and the boiler room had been upgraded to use magic coals that only really had to be replaced every so often. He was now assigned to armorer, as he had shown himself to be a good soldier.

The crew had gotten larger since the battle at Canterlot. A large group of the 501st had opted to join the crew in case of boarding attacks, as well as a few of the Canterlot gun crews. Even Darius had lended a few Griffon soldiers to the crew, who had integrated nicely. Their once ragtag group of ponies had turned into a full blown, trained crew. Nothing like the old privateering crew that Hurricane had led before, apparently.

Ashes walked into his room, and donned his old Pirate clothing, before cleaning his weapons of gore and such. He then took a short nap, before Rose came in.

"Are you okay?" asked Rose, and Ashes nodded, running a hoof over his shoulder.

"Yeah, I'll be alright. I just..." Ashes looked at Rose, and sighed. "I haven't been that scared in a long time."

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Rose, and Ashes shook his head.

"Nothing really to talk about. I had faced an enemy that was stronger than I was. It was by pure luck that I survived. And I was afraid I would leave you alone," Ashes said, his eyes lowering. "I locked up."

Rose sat next to Ashes and kissed him softly on the side of his muzzle. "Don't break down on me yet, soldier. We still need you."

--------

Hurricane was in high hopes after the victory at Gryphendel. She piloted happily as The Retaliation soared through the sky, soaring towards Canterlot. After a few hours of soaring, she was that the Equestrian Aerial Fleet had decided to spread itself out through the sky, using Pyramidions, Galleons, and Junkers as patrol ships. Every so often, they see a skirmish off in the distance as a few of Celestia's ships took down one of Nightmare Moon's ships. They ran into nopony trying to attack them, and as they soared farther inland, they found that the Equestrian War Machine was running at 200%. Towns had mass exodus of soldiers and weapons, and the Equestrian National Anthem called for war everywhere they went. Equestria was ready, no matter what.

The ship landed in the late evening, and the crew went to their personal barracks that the Celestia had commissioned for the group. They were now officially apart of the Equestrian War Machine, and they were the best of the best. They all settled down for the night in Canterlot, ready to tackle whatever awaits them on the horizon

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Arualsti on Tue 18 Feb 2014, 00:00

Wick sat in the same grotty bar that he had sat in many months ago, when he had crawled into the city desperate for a fix and had inadvertently gotten dragged into the crazy mission. But now he was surrounded by soldiers, pony and griffon alike, who were all drinking a toast to his brave actions in Gryphendel. They patted him on the back and drunkenly sloshed beer on his lap.

He didn't feel worthy of praise. He didn't feel like a hero. He felt like little more than a cold hearted killer, who instead of using his years of learning to make the world a better place, he had used it to slowly and painfully kill an old griffon. He tried to reassure himself that the old king was in fact evil, and that he was doing the world a massive service being rid of him, but he could not shake the feeling that it was out with one dictator and in with the new. Sure Darius had vowed to help them now, but Griffon's were generally a war hungry race. Much like the pegasi race had been only a centuary or two ago, there social and political system was built on military strength. Even the griffons in Solstice, most of whom had been cut off from griffon society as a whole tended to be violent and power hungry.

One griffon bumped into him, drunkedly, sloshing most of his drink down Wick's front. Wick jumped up, but the griffon held onto his collar. “You're a hero” he slurred “Darius will lead us all into a glorious future, and that's all thanks to you”. The griffon lay a drunken kiss on Wicks cheek. His beak was sharp and pointed, and it nicked Wick's skin. Wick pushed him off gently. He hoped that the glorious future he spoke of wasn't glory in battle. There was no glory to be found in bloodshed.

The griffon sat next to Wick for the rest of the evening, even as the rest of the pub slowly drained away. Wick was feeling too drained to get him to leave, besides, he insisted on buying the drinks. Wick drank each pint, hoping he'd find the solution to his guilt at the bottom of each mug. Unfortunately it only made his guilt worse. The griffon, who had revealed his name to be Valar, came back with another drink for each of them. “Last one i'm afraid, getting rather late and the barmaid wants to go to bed.” He told Wick “But I know a place we can go if you don't feel like going to bed yourself” Valor placed a claw on Wick's leg “Not that I would protest to you being in bed”. Wick cleared his throat and thought of Weaver. He thought of those leathery wings that drove him crazy, and her dark little rump. He wanted her, but as he looked over at Valor, he suddenly wanted him too. Surely Weaver had only meant for he and her to be a one off fling? He couldn't decide. She had barely spoken to him since they were disturbed. He mulled it over for a few moments, then downed his drink. “So” he said as sharply as he could “Where are going?”

Wick and Valor tried to steady themselves as they stumbled through the streets of Canterlot. It was getting so late that the pitch blackness of night would seeping away to the early hours of the morning. The moon still hung there though, unmoving. The houses were close together in this part of the city, leaning in on each other like Wick and Valor leant on each other. Valor suddenly pushed Wick against a door, pushing his face in his, kissing him deeply and passionatly. Wick returned the sloppy kiss, then fell backwards as Valor had opened the door behind his back. They tumbled through the doorway, Valor landing on top of him. “We're hear” he giggled, leaning in to kiss him again.

The rest of the night was mostly a blur. The last thing Wick remebered was shooting himself up with poppy poison. Except it wasn't just poppy poison. It was mixed with something else, something that not only made him feel good and contented, it made him feel euphoric. He was pretty sure he had fucked Valor at some point too, or maybe Valor had fucked him. He could barely concentrate on past events when he woke up at some point the next day he head pounding in Valor's bed.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Celestia's PoV:

Celestia was overseeing the recent improvements to the elite guards magic staves, they had recently been improved by reducing the recoil for each shot thus making their wielder more accurate. The overheating problem had been dealt with as well, the staves no longer risked exploding in the face of the user if they overheated the staves firing rod.

Suddenly something plummeted from the skies and crashed down not too far from where Celestia was sitting, startled and cautious the guards present went over to see what it was. It was a pegasus, a bit different looking than your normal one, this one had thicker fur and stronger features.

Celestia approached the pegasus, it was a male one, he had wounds all over his body and his wings didn't look healthy. He must've been in a lot of pain, if he had flown all the way from Dragost with these wounds then that in of itself was an amazing feat.

The pegasus woke up and saw Celestia, his eyes went wide as he recognized the monarch. He tried to speak but all that came through from his throat was just a hoarse voice but the only thing he managed to get through was "Dragost.." before he passed out again.

"Guards carry him to the royal castle's hospital wing and make sure he gets taken care of!" Celestia barked at the guards that immediately got to action and carried the pegasus away.

"Captain." Celestia called out for the Captain of the guards who came up to her as soon as he heard her calling.

"Yes your highness?" He said.

"How quickly can you get a scout to Dragost?" Celestia asked.

"Our fastest flier can get there and back in little less than a day with non stop flying and good weather." He responded.

"Excellent, have your scout be ready to leave within the hour. I have a bad feeling about Dragost so make sure your scout is prepared for the worst and I want you to find the crew of The Retaliation and bring them to me, I may have a mission for them." Celestia said and walked away towards the castle.

"Yes, ma'am." The Captain said and saluted before running off to carry out his orders.
---
Night Weaver's PoV:

Night Weaver was sitting on top of the roof of a big house from where she had a good overview of Canterlot city.

"Hmph quite an impressive city I must admit, sure beats the ruined city that Nightmare Moon currently resides in."

'Weaver sat on top of the roof watching the peculiarity of having the sun and the moon up at the same time, it would seem that Celestia and Nightmare Moon had reached a stalemate in their control of the two celestial beings.

"Hey there sexy." A voice from behind her said, it was a rather handsome pegasus stallion.

"It's gonna take more than that if you want to get laid buddy." 'Weaver said sarcastically.

"Who says I was after your pretty little ass?" The stallion responded.

"Me because I'm horny as fuck now where do you want to fuck I ain't got all night on me." 'Weaver responded, slightly startling the stallion who wasn't thinking he'd get his wish through so easily.

"I have a nice place just 5 minutes from here." The stallion said.

"Good let's go." 'Weaver jumped off into the air and waited for the stallion to lead the way.

The night was spent with 'Weaver fucking the stallion dry, filling all her holes up with his cum until he fainted from exhaustion.

"Pfft no stamina in these Canterlotian stallions, can't even last until morning." 'Weaver said and slid off the now deflated penis, dripping some cum onto the stallions chest.

"Consider that a memory of what it's like to romp a bat pony and hope you didn't get me pregnant." She said before borrowing his shower and flying back to the castle.

She met a royal guard flying towards her half way there, the guard recognized her and told her that Celestia wanted to see her and the rest of the crew. 'Weaver sped off towards the throne room.
---
Wind Rose's Pov:

Ashes and Rose spent another intimate night together, since Ashe's fertility rate was fairly low the risk of her getting pregnant was pretty low and they could engage in normal sexual intercourse without needing any protection, sure 11 months was a long time for pregnancy but if the war lasted any longer than 3-4 months Rose would be growing too big to be able to fight properly.

Once the morning came a royal guard knocked on the door and announced through the door that Celestia requested their presence as soon possible.

They both cleaned themselves from all the sex fluids and smell, got dressed and headed off towards the throne room.

---
Celestia's PoV:

The scout had returned from Dragost in the night and what she had to report wasn't much, it seemed almost as if the entire population of Dragost had just packed their things and left over a night. Markets had carts full of wares, houses were locked, no officials seemed to have put up any notices of abandoning the city.

This worried Celestia, something had spooked the population of Dragost to flee but then why was that one stallion the only one who came? More importantly, why was he wounded.. Something was amiss, the population of Dragost hadn't just upped and left, they were most likely still there or dead.

The crew of The Retaliation gathered in the throne room by mid day.

"I have received some worrying news from Dragost, it would seem as if the entire population just upped and left overnight yet only one pegasus who was gravely wounded made it here. I want you to go there and investigate what's happened."

Hurricane nodded, fully dressed in a specialized Captains garb, a mixture between her privateer uniform and a commanders armor. She sighed, and stretched, before walking to the ship.

"I want the crew prepped and ready for dis-embarkment as soon as possible. We will waste no time getting to Dragost, Princess," Hurricane said, bowing. She quickly walked to the ship, taking the short route through the gardens.

There, she was cornered by two rather large guards, seemingly unaware of her newly obtained rank.

"Well, ain't this a nice suprise. A pretty, young mare, very fuckable looking," Said one of the guards, grinning.

Hurricane just scoffed, before looking at the two guards with a dead serious look on her face. "Either of you touch me, I will cut off your cocks so fast you might just not even feel the pain."

The larger of the two just laughed, and adjusted his armor so that his rock hard cock popped out. "Surely, you can't resist this?"

"I've resisted larger, and cut off many more. Don't test me," Hurricane said, before one of the two guards put a hoof on her.

"Stop playing, darling, we just want so-" He was quickly cut off, as something of his was cut off. Blood splattered everywhere, as Hurricane's black blades flashed in the sunlight. She walked as if nothing happened, leaving the two stallions laying in the grass, their stallionhoods laying in the grass.

--------

Ashes sighed, bowing to Celestia, before walking to the ship. He quickly went to his room in the Ship, where he put down his weapon. His small amulet started glowing, and shaking. Ashes looked around the room to see that nothing was out of place. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, and a being appeared in front of Ashes. It was much like the necromancer he had faced, except this one was dead, stitched together, its red eyes gleaming. Tendrils sprouted from its back, and its mouth opened, as more tendrils sprouted from its throat and gums. Ashes backed up, falling onto his bed, his eyes wide with fear.

Suddenly, it wasn't there. The door was open, he was fine. There was no creature.

"Fuckin' Necromancer in my head..." Ashes said, rubbing his temples. "Better get to work."

Wick squinted as Celestia spoke, barely taking in her words. His head felt like it was splitting open and his stomach churned uneasily. His legs felt weak and wobbily and the light hurt his eyes. Why did the light hurt his eyes? He had been nearly pulled out of Valor's bed, who barely stirred at the commotion. He did not feel like being forced to get up, even by Celestia's guard. They threatened to fly him to the meeting, until Wick vomited on one of their feet, and they let him make his own way there. He hadn't yet made himself an antidote to his hangover, and thought maybe he shouldn't, he didn't know exactly what he took or did last night and didn't want to risk a bad reaction.

He stood behind Weaver as Celestia spoke, an he found it easier to focus on her rump instead of Celestia. He felt a sudden burning desire to fuck her. Maybe whatever he had taken last night was still working on him. He hoped the talk would be over soon, he did not want to have such a large erection in front of the Princess for much longer.

Suddenly everyone started to depart, and Wick made his way wearily to the ship, guess they were going somewhere to kill someone. He felt a sudden pang of guilt. No, they were going to fight someone, something evil. He just wanted to curl back up in his own bed, vomit a few times and then wake up for a nice meal in the evening. He pondered for a second about inviting Valor onto the ship, keep him in his quarters as his own personal fuck buddy. Maybe he could find some leather cuffs and collars someplace in Canterlot, tie Valor up when he wasn't in use, make a game of it. He closed his eyes to imagine it, but all he could see was Weaver, her forehooves tied up above her head, a collar and chain around her neck, her back legs lifted high, a bar keeping them spread.

He shuddered, he felt far to ill to feel so horny.

Wind Rose's PoV:

Rose had been locked in with Hurricane for most of the day, they were discussing the recent events and what could've possibly made Dragost go so quiet. They were still a good day and a half away from the mountains and they would be slowed down a bit in the cold frozen wastes between the mountains marking the border of Equestria and the frozen northern mountain region.

"This is ridiculous, Hurricane! How can a major city like Dragost just go quiet over a night?" Rose complained.

"I don't know but I don't like it anymore than you do.." Hurricane responded.

"How long until we get there?" Rose asked.

"I'd say probably a day and a half, a day maybe at full speed but the winds in the Frozen north are quite devious, it can blow up into a storm at any minute and if we're not careful we can get swept away by the strong winds and smashed into pieces into a nearby mountain."

Rose grumbled, not liking the idea of being grounded as a pegasi. If she wouldn't trust Hurricane's better judgement from years of piloting she would've rushed off towards the mountains as fast as she could, she would most likely be killed by the cold winds or smashed into a mountain if she lost focus for a second so she was somewhat glad she had someone like Hurricane around to make sure she didn't do anything stupid when it came to flying.

They soon relaxed into an more casual topic, talking about random accidents they'd had while flying and how soon they had learned how to fly and how. They hadn't really had the chance to talk much since the beginning of the journey and with Rose's recent love for Ashes that time had been even shorter.
---
Night Weaver's PoV:

'Weaver was bored, horribly bored. There wasn't much to do on the ship aside from helping out wherever you could, reading a book or indulging in lovemaking like Rose was doing. 'Weaver had to hand it to her though, she'd managed to snag the most handsome stallion onboard for herself, sure the royal crew that had followed with the ship had some nice studs but they'd been strictly trained not to indulge in pleasure until their years of service were over.

'Weaver's mind was wandering around all sorts of places trying to occupy herself with something, playing with the black widow spider that she'd become a specialist in retrieving it's poison from was fun for an hour or two until the spider grew bored of her taunts and approaches and just crawled back into it's nest in the glass jar.

"Bah, fine. Bugger off you bitch, not like you'll survive in there for long.. Hmm my poison supply is running a bit low and I guess I might as well stuck up on it before we reach this "Dragost" city. Wonder if Wick is up for an alchemy session, I bet he has some stuff I've never seen before." 'Weaver said to herself and picked up the glass jar with the black widow spider in it and trotted off down towards Wick's cabin.

She arrived at the door and knocked on the door. "Hey, Wick? It's me 'Weaver, I was wonderin' if you'd be up for showing me some alchemy stuff and I can tell you a bit about the specialty recipes us bat ponies have that you've probably never heard of.."

Wick jumped at the sudden knock at the door. He had the leather collar and cuffs that his bought from Canterlot spread out on his bed. Black leather with red fur lining. He'd been trying to figure out how to use them. He quickly threw them under his pillow and opened the door. He saw Weaver and smiled. Then he saw the jar and shut the door.

“Before I let you in, you have to promise not to let that spider out, jokingly or otherwise.” He said. He listened out for Weaver agreeing to his demands, then opened the door.

“So, batpony alchemy aye? I must admit, those from Soltice tend to be some of the best alchemists in the world. Whilst I am far from a master alchemist, I like to think my knowledge is pretty good. Apart from poisons. We don't get many poisonous creatures like spiders in the Frozen North, so we tend to use other kinds of nasty potions to dispatch of our enemies. What have you got to show me?”

"Well my poison supply was running low since I left my stash on the ship I was on back before you guys found me so I need to replenish it. " 'Weaver said and put down the glass jar with the spider in it on a nearby table.

"I know I said I wouldn't let the spider out but I'm gonna need too, otherwise I can't get the poison from it's glands. The trick is to try and get it to empty it's poison without removing the glands or killing it, it's not the easiest, the trick is basically to cut a very small hole in one of the glands, like so." 'Weaver said and cut a small incision in the right gland after having given the spider a dose of the calming leaves in the jar and let the poison drip into a little lid like shaped object.

"And now that it's gland is empty we put it back, now be careful and don't get any poison on you, if you even have the smallest of cuts or bruises where it can enter your blood flow it can paralyze and kill you without medical care in less than 10 minutes unless you can keep yourself calm and slow down your blood flow then it can take longer."

They proceeded to talk about alchemy and how the bat ponies have almost perfected the more deadlier side of it, creating poisons to coat blades, potions to harm your enemies by melting their skin off their bones, bombs that split into multiple smaller bombs upon impact and so on.

They found a common interest in the deadlier and more wicked arts of alchemy and while both knew a fair deal about healing potions and transformation potions those not as interesting as hearing what the worst type of concoctions they'd brewed up and used on others.

'Weaver's mind went back to when she had last been here, they had been rudely interrupted just as Wick was about to rut her. Sure she was quite loose when it came to sex and she enjoyed it just as much as anyone else and wouldn't say no to a good fuck, she was grinding against the chair she was sitting on lightly, trying to not show how horny she had gotten from just thinking back to Wick's cock being inches away from her marehood. Surely he wouldn't mind a good fuck either and she was practically leaking on the chair and from the look of Wick trying to cross his legs to hide what could only be an erection he must be smelling her arousal.

'Weaver knocked an apple off the table by "accident" and bent down to get it, it had rolled under the bed and when she bent down to pick it up she saw the cuffs he had stashed away. They were quite sexy and 'Weaver wondered who he had planned to use them on when she got the idea that maybe he had fantasized about her? He had been willing to fuck her a few days ago.. She decided to tease Wick by presenting herself fully for him, surely he wouldn't be able to resist fucking her now.

Wick groaned and bit his lip as Weaver bent over, her tail shifting to the side to reveal her wet marehood. Wick knew she was teasing him, and it was working. The semi he'd had since she walked through the door grew to full size.

“Don't you think I don't know what you're up to, Weaver?” He said, cooly, striding up to her. He leant down and inhaled her scent deeply. She smelt good, as good as any mare in heat. He quickly swallowed a tiny potion that he kept on him at all times. It would stop him from impregnating any mares he came across. The amount he had bedded in his time, he had learned to be cautious.

He leant over again, and pulled her backwards slightly, toward his face. He began to lick and nibble at her legs and rump, purposefully avoiding her marehood, which was beginning to smell better by the second.

“If you can be a tease, I can be one too”

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Cloudchaser on Sat 22 Feb 2014, 21:55

Night Weaver grinded her teeth at Wick's teasing, he sure knew how to please a mare and get to beg for a cock, her nethers were basically on fire and she was leaking juices in an ever increasing tempo as Wick's hot breath was teasing her folds, he moved on down toward her teats and started massaging them before he put his fully erect cock in between them and started fucking them.

'Weaver was eventually pushed over onto the bed and Wick carefully levitated the black with red fur lined cuffs out from under the bed, he placed the ones with a bar in between them between 'Weaver's legs so that her soaking wet mare pussy was on full display. Her tail was locked away behind her back so it wouldn't get in the way of her pussy and last but not least he chained her front legs to the bedposts making sure she was fully under his control.

"mm Wick these leather cuffs are quite sexy, didn't know you got turned on by cuffing up a innocent little mare such as me~" 'Weaver said seductively while having her fully body on display for Wick whose erection only seemed to have grown when cuffing her up.

"I think you're hardly innocent at least not after I'm done." Wick responded and aimed his fully blown erection at her cunt, spreading her lips open a little bit, teasing her until she'd beg him to rut her.

'Weaver had to admit she found it incredibly sexy and arousing to be tied up like this, her leaking pussy on full display, her nipples on her teats were erect and the prodding of Wick's big juicy stallionhood was almost driving her to the edge already and they had barely even begun.

"mmnmmn, fuck me Wick, put your stallionhood into me and rut me crazy, I want you inside me now.." 'Weaver half begged through her moans, if she didn't get that cock into her soon she swore she'd break through these cuffs and jump onto that erect stallionhood and milk it dry.

Wick responded by sliding his cock inside her wet marehood, she already so wet one little push would send his cock flying deep inside her. Eventually Wick pushed himself as deep as he could and lingering there for a short while, letting 'Weaver get a good taste of how it feels to be filled up by a proper stallion. She'd taken several stallions inside her before but Wick's cock was so far the largest she had taken and it was driving her crazy. He soon settled for a pace he liked and began pumping her in and out, it didn't take long before 'Weaver squirted her orgasm all over Wick's balls who kept going through her orgasm and by the time he was getting close she was nearing her second orgasm.

"aaah, mmnmmn, fuck. Cum inside, oooh fuck you feel so good, I don't even care if you knock me up your cock is pounding me so hard." 'Weaver was in bliss and she couldn't care less if Wick came inside.

"I. ugh. took a. ugh. potion to. ugh. make sure you don't get. ugh. impregnated." Wick said in between thrusts and just as he finished the sentence as if on cue with the impregnation line he exploded deep inside her, filling her up with his seed as she came a second time. Wick pulled out and let the rest of his cum coat 'Weaver's body and face who did her best to lick up any cum that landed on her mouth.

"mm you taste good, Wick and I see you're still fully erect even after cumming so hard inside me, my I must be really turning you on if you're ready to pump me full again, what do you say? Ready for a round two?" 'Weaver asked and grinned seductively as Wick prepared for a second round and then a third round.
They kept going for most of the night until they fell asleep on top of each other, Wick's penis finally loosing it's erection and retreating into it's slit as 'Weaver's cunt and ass were dripping of their love juices, she had fallen asleep with a happy grin on her face as she was still tied up but that didn't matter, she'd just received the best sex of her life and bat pony males usually had twice the stamina of a normal stallion but Wick was something special and 'Weaver couldn't exactly put a word on what it was.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Princess Blueblood on Sun 23 Feb 2014, 20:44

Hurricane piloted along, wearing her new north-winter parka. The harsh weather bit at her face as she piloted, the wind buffeting her face.

"Cap'n, I do believe we're off course," Said Gunpowder, walking on deck.

"That we are, Gunpowder. With good reason. We would have been destroyed in the winds on our regular route. We need to derail to Ice Marsh City, not only to resupply, but possibly see what we can pick up on Dragost." Hurricane said, her eyes set on the rising sun. The snow buffeted her, and Gunpowder nodded.

Ashes came up on deck, bags under his eyes. His hair was a mess, and he was once again growing his beard. His blades hung sloppily on his back, as well as his guns. He looked like hell, and there was obviously something troubling him.

"Morning, Ashes," Said Hurricane, as they flew through the sky.

"Morning." He muttered, before walking over to the edge. "We're getting awfully close to Ice Marsh City, aren't we?" asked Ashes, getting a nod from Hurricane.

"Turbine got damaged, got blown off course. We need to stop, repair. We just need the materials, we've got enough engineers on board that can fix this badboy up," Hurricane said.

"I see..." Ashes said, before sitting down.

In the distance, they saw spires peering up over the clouds. They made a fast break for the city, hoping the ship would hold.

Post by Arualsti on Mon 24 Feb 2014, 18:32

Wick blinked awake. His body was sore, but the good kind. Weaver had already left his bed, almost no trace of their evening remained. Her scent still clung to the sheets though, her heavy, sexy, exotic scent. Wick lay back for a few minutes, just enjoying it.

Eventually he pulled himself out of bed and cleaned himself, donning his warmest clothes and sipping on a potion that would ward off the worst of the chill. He made his way up on deck, pulling his fur lined robes close to his body. He had lived his entire life in the frozen north, but Solstice was practically tropical compared to this. Unicorns dealt with the cold worse than earth or pegasus ponies, and Wick was especially wimpy when it came to low temperatures.

He gazed off into the distance, swirling snow obscuring his vision. He could see towers on the horizon. Were they at Dragost already? They couldn't be, or Hurricane or Rose would have come to wake them for a meeting. The ship began to descend slowly, the strong winds shaking the ship worryingly. Wick instinctively gripped onto the railings. He edged his way slowly to Hurricane and Ashes, he hadn't noticed them until now. The storm was causing almost pure white out.

“Where are we headed?” he shouted over the roar of the wind

“Ice Marsh City” said Hurricane shortly. “We were blown off course and we need to stop to resupply and repair the ship.

Wick thought about his history lessons, remembering all he could about the city. It was a city in near constant political turmoil. Not outright war, but power changed hooves constantly. Sometimes they were friendly and prosperous, other times they were hostile and dangerous. He couldn't remember much about the citizens, except they were often considered hardy, they would need to be with the harsh weather and constant change in leadership. It really was a wildcard city, and Wick just hoped fortunes favoured them today.

Wick voiced his concerns to Hurricane and Ashes.

"We could be accepted with open hooves, or faced with hostility and refused access to the city. I doubt they'll outright attack, but with the world way it is, I couldn't be sure"

The ship quickly approached the Spires, when two escort ships shot up through the clouds.

"Welcome to Ice Marsh City! Please slow your speed, and state your intent!" shouted a group of ponies, decked out in thick weather gear. Flamethrowers hung from the side of the escort ships, and a few griffons and Changelings manned the guns.

"We're a heavily damaged envoy vessel. We request to dock in Ice Marsh City for repairs and trade!" shouted Hurricane back, as the ship slowed.

"Alright, we'll lead you to the docking area. When there please show your official envoy documentation to be let into the city," Said the officer of the ship.

------

Hurricane watched as the crew unloaded goods, with the officers of the ship. The city had been welcoming, to an extent. They weren't allowed inside the inner walls of the city, and were restricted to only trade when inside the outer walls. Hurricane had gotten rooms at the finest hotel area that Ice Marsh City had to offer, and the crew had made their way there. The stopped at the inn, and had a crew meeting inside, on their next moves

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Cloudchaser on Tue 25 Feb 2014, 19:23

Dragost a week or so before the population vanished:

It was a normal day in Dragost for the most part, fillies and colts were playing tag in the streets, young stallions were trying to court the young mares. Vendors trying to sell you all sorts of things and constantly trying to beat their competition, yep nothing seemed out of place except for one thing..

Tholkir was the royal guard captain of Dragost, he took pride in his work and last night the night guards had come to him, talking about having seen changelings flying about. Another pair of guards had reported seeing strange bug like eyes in the caverns, he had dragged himself out of bed to check up on it. They had received news that changelings had been seen as far north as Ice Marsh city and it worried him a little bit, changelings were deceptive creatures and you never knew who was one until you either caught them in the act of transforming or they reveal themselves.

Tholkir's train of thought was disrupted for a moment as he saw the Queen and her daughter exit the palace and made their daily round around the market street, their ruler was a very kind old mare with a lovely daughter. Dragost was so far from the events of the rest of the world that the court days weren't very demanding and the royal house was more of a formality for a lack of a better system so the Queen had made it a daily routine to show herself in public and interact with her citizens.

Though for some reason it seemed like today they were having a hard time being nice, it seemed like they had to strain themselves to do it.. Tholkir just shook his head, it had been a late night and the search for changelings hadn't yielded anything. He was probably just tired and was imagining things, he was about to go up and greet his old friend and mentor when suddenly the sky turned dark.

He looked up and to his horror it was filled with changelings, he was just about to issue an order to get the Queen and her daughter inside the palace when they both transformed before his eyes. Before him stood a big black mare with glowing blue eyes, purple mane and tail and beside her stood a slightly smaller frame with very similar features, green tail and mane with green eyes.

The swarm flew down and started attacking the citizens, Tholkir yelled to whomever could hear to draw their weapons and defend their home but he quickly found himself alone amidst the chaos and panic. He wanted to stay and defend his home but he knew that if he didn't get help everything would be lost, he spread his thick furred wings and took to the air as fast as he could he had only one goal in mind, reach Canterlot before it's too late..

---
A week later in the hospital at Canterlot castle:

Tholkir awoke with a pang in a hospital bed, nurses rushed over to him and started checking his vitals and try and calm him down.

"No.. must.. find.. Celestia." Tholkir managed to get out, his mouth was really dry and he still felt exhausted. He had no idea how long he'd been out.

"You are not going anywhere, mister. You're in no condition to get out of bed, you have several broken bones, your wings have severe damages, it's a miracle you even managed to fly with your wounds." The head nurse began to complain, Tholkir ignored her.

"No, you.. don't, understand.. Dragost.." He again had to pause to let his lungs gather more air, his ribs were broken and it wasn't easy talking and breathing with a broken rib cage.

The nurses around him gasped when he mentioned Dragost, they murmured amongst themselves until the head nurse shushed them and told them to go back to work.

"You flew all the way from Dragost? That's quite a miracle, we received some rather strange reports from Dragost but perhaps you could fill me in?" A calm and reassuring voice said from the door opening, Tholkir looked up to see who it was and was greeted by the most precious sight in the last day or two. Before him stood Princess Celestia herself.

"With all due respect, Princess-" The head nurse was cut off by Celestia.

"Please, how many times have I asked you to not call me Princess or your highness, Heartblood? You're a very dear family friend and the best nurse in all of Equestria, I respect your authority when it comes to medicine but please understand that a whole city vanished almost overnight and this pegasus here is the only one who made it out alive. The sooner we know what happened the sooner he can relax and recover." Princess Celestia said.

Heartblood was about to open her mouth in protest but Tholkir cut her off. "Changelings.. Dragost.. I.." he started coughing up blood before blacking out again.

"With all due respect, Prin- Celestia I would like to get back to treating my patient now." Heartblood said and Celestia nodded at her before leaving the hospital.

"Changelings.. That is ill news, I have to get in contact with Rose and Hurricane somehow.."

Wind Rose's Pov:

Their group had gathered up around a table in a V.I.P. room in the inn, they had a map laid out before them with a dagger marking Ice Marsh city where they currently were located.

"'Weaver did you learn anything from sneaking around inside the town?" Rose asked and looked at 'Weaver, she had scouted out the inside town to try and see if she could get any information on what had happened at Dragost.

'Weaver shook her head, "Not really, no. I heard some talk about an invasion or something, I can't be sure the two I overheard were drunk off their feet and were arguing about some Queen and her expansion decisions and such."

"Hmm.. There is a path I heard about from the legends of Night Vera and her friends, they took a back entrance from behind on the northern side of the mountain, it was a large cave and while it's from a legend most of that has proven to be true though.." Rose was pondering on just how crazy that was.

Suddenly a calm voice from the corner said "I can guide you to the cave and through it to Dragost, I have been there before."

"And you are?" Rose asked and looked at the stranger who stood up and pulled off a hood, revealing a beautiful face that was similar to Rose's in many ways.

"Your great great grand mother or something like that, I was the lover of Night Vera 200 years ago otherwise known as Inysa the archmage. I accompanied Vera and our other friends through the caves at Dragost and I went back to study them in between raising two foals, I can take you through them if you wish." Inysa said.

"Well the ancestors haven't failed us yet and we have no idea what await us in Dragost so taking the back door could give us valuable time that we need to find out what happened." Rose said.

"I guess it's settled then, I'll notify the crew to meet us at Dragost when the repairs of the ship is done." Hurricane said and went off to notify the ship crew.

"When do we leave?" 'Weaver asked and looked at Rose and Inysa with a hint of confusion, they had apparently forgotten to fill her in on the whole ancestors from the past showing up thing.

"As soon as possible, we don't have all the time in the world to dwell here." Rose said and everyone scurried off to prepare to leave at nightfall.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Princess Blueblood on Wed 26 Feb 2014, 21:52

Hurricane piloted the ship dutifully, the crew manning their stations as they set off from Ice Marsh City, leaving its towers and spires behind. The ice bit at Hurricane's fur, the snow buffeting her face. The night had just set in, as darkness fell upon the ship. Hurricane stood alone upon the deck, her eyes focused on the horizon. The only sound was that of the soft whirring of the turbines and the win. The ship slowly broke through the cloud barrier, and an amazing site shown over the ship.

The northern lights glowed bright blue, red, green, orange, and purple, dancing in the sky like a pair of school fillies. The wind was no longer rough, just a light breeze that pushed Hurricane's mane slightly. She gasped as she looked up in the sky, as shooting stars pierced the heavens. She swore she could see the faces of the ancestors smiling down upon her.

"Hell of a light show, eh?" asked Ashes, as he walked on deck.

"It's gorgeous," Replied Hurricane, not taking her eyes off of the sky.

"Where I come from in Germaney is close enough to the north we sometimes used to get glimpses of the northern lights. I remember, the night I became a Bloodborne, I saw them. It was like a sign," Ashes said, looking up at the sky. "Like those who watch over us are encouraging us to go on. To keep pushing through the agony."

Hurricane looked at Ashes, her eyes focusing on the long scar that ran from his ear, down through his eye, and onto his chin. He smiled slightly, arcing the scar slightly. He had lived such a short, hard life, fighting his whole life. He had seen more bloodshed in his short life than most ponies would ever dream of. He had battled the undead, batponies, griffons, among others, and was on his way to save the world.

Hurricane shook her head, and sighed. "What keeps you going?"

"What do you mean?" Asked Ashes, as Hurricane put the ship into auto-pilot.

"What keeps you sane? What makes you hold on, push forward, even though you may have a snowflakes change in tartarus of surviving?" Asked Hurricane, sitting down.

"This mission. All the ponies that would die if I didn't try. Rose. You guys. My friends. You all help me push forward. What about you?" asked Ashes, sitting down next to Hurricane.

"I don't think I've found any reason yet," Hurricane said, and Ashes nodded.

"Such a pain is common. You are a strong mare, Hurricane. I've seen you fight. I've seen the way you put others first. You may not be the strongest, or the fastest, or the smartest. But you have a heart of gold, and a mind of silver. You have pushed us this far, now its our turn to push you," Ashes said, smiling. Hurricane just looked at the deck, and Ashes patted her on the back.

"My mentor once told me that in all of his years of traveling, from a young bloodborne, to his death bed, he had never met anypony who wasn't important. From womb to tomb, we are all connected. Fate has a plan for us all, and we have a plan for fate. We carve and pull our destiny with our own hooves, and secure it with the hooves of others. You were born for this, Hurricane. You weren't just randomly plucked out of all the ponies in the world, and thrown into the fray. You are here for a reason. We all are," Said Ashes, punching Hurricane on the shoulder.

Hurricane smiled, looking up at the sky once more. Light snowflakes landed on the duo, as the light of the sky filled the air.

"I'm going to head into bed. I'll see you tomorrow morning," Said Ashes, leaving Hurricane to her own.

Hurricane took the helm once more, piloting until the early hours of the morning.

------

Ashes jumped off the ship, landing in the snow covered mountainside. He was used to the cold, but this was different. This wasn't natural cold. Something was being preserved inside the mountain, something that needed to be cool to operate. Ashes had only felt this one somewhere else, but he couldn't place it in his memory. The crew stood in front of a massive stone door, the freezing snow battering the crew. A group of the 501st stood out front, placing explosive charges on the door. The city was abandoned, rags and houses abandoned. Bloodshed was obvious, but no bodies to accompany it. Ashes picked up a small doll from the floor, looking at it. It was stained with blood. He dropped it, and looked around further. It was a ghost city, nothing left but an empty shell of what it once was.

But it was still infested. A deep, dark, disgusting infestment. Ashes already knew what had become of the citizens, but he was far too horrified to even think about it. An infestment that devoured all, and turned it into its own. The smell of the once bustling town of spices and fire was replaced with that of a strong musky smell.

"We couldn't get in any other way. The 501st and Griffon forces will watch outside, we'll go in," Hurricane said, standing at a small stone table outside of the gates. "We'll do a recon, see whats inside, and if we need to destroy it, we will."

"Sounds like a plan," Said Rose, and Ashes nodded.

"I'll take Wick. I'm not exactly suited for the combat we may get into the tight corridors of this hellhole, so I'll need some backup."

"I'll take Rose and Wea-" Started Hurricane, but was quickly cut off.

"I'll run solo, thank you very much," She said, and the crew nodded.

"It is set then, Meet back here in 2 or 3 hours," Said Hurricane, and the crew nodded.

The hall doors exploded, and the crew went in.

-----

"They have entered the area, my lord."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes sir. All alone. The 501st and Griffon forces are outside, so an attack on them is a no go."

"Shit. Fine, I'll alert Queen Amaryllis. See if she truly is loyal to our cause."

"Sir, may I ask that we spare Hurricane?"

"Do not let your feelings get in the way of your mission, Agent Black. Soon, you will finish your training, and your mutations will be complete. Until then, do not fail me."

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Arualsti on Thu 27 Feb 2014, 16:36

Wick stamped his feet against the cold. He had wrapped himself up in the warmest clothes he had, thick boots and a fur lined cloak. His breath turned to fog in front of him, and he couldn't stop his body from shaking. He drank another vial of the warming potion, and felt the bite of the cold fall away. They'd only been out of the airship for a few hours, but already some of his potions were freezing over. He wrapped his saddlebags in what clothes or rags he could find. His bombs were fairing better, so long as none of the potions cracked they'd be alright. They were all crouched behind a snow drift, waiting for the Griffons to set of the explosion get through the door. Wick grumbled to himself as he saw their set up. He could have done it with half the amount of explosives, but the Griffons were the ones with the vast amounts of gunpowder, so it was them that got to set them all up and waste them. The last of the groups were being finalised as a tremedous explosion went off behind them. They all immediately lept over the snow bank and stomed the doors. Wick was in shock, the doors were gone, that was for sure, but so was the entire facade and half the buildings perched too close. He glared at the supposed Griffon bomb experts “You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!” he shouted before running head first into the smoking black entrance into the mountain.

The halls were dark and quiet. Wick stuck with Ashes, who trotted along at a fast pace. Wick spotted a torch hanging on a bracket by the wall. He grabbed it, and straining with his horn, set it alight. The area around them appeared, bathed in weak orange light. They were on stair case, cold and crumbling, the rest of the group had already left. The stairs bore signs of recent damage, scorch marks, and shot buried deep in the walls from those who'd fought back. It was deathly silent though, if it weren't for the scent of gunpowder in the air and their own breathing, Wick could have believed that no life had stirred in this place for millennia.

“Where are we headed?” Wick whispered, hoping he wasn't being too loud.

“We'll check the upstairs first, I think I see a trail of blood here, some may still be alive” Ashes replied, just as quietly.

The pair silently made their way up the long and winding stair, and sound causing them to jump back and draw their weapons, but for all they could tell, they were the only things that stirred in the keep.

They arrived at the top of the stairs, and into a long corridor. Ashes had lost what ever trail he was following and began to search for it again, when some voices pierced the silence. Wick and Ashes snapped their heads in the direction of the sound. They knew those voices.

“Help us!” screamed Rose, her voice full of pain.

“Please, anyone, help” followed Weaver.

Movement appeared from in front of them, and Wick and Ashes stood prepared. But suddenly, out came Rose and Weaver, clutching wounds on their bodies.

“It's you” Weaver said, relieved.

“We were ambushed, they came out of nowhere” Said Rose.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Princess Blueblood on Thu 27 Feb 2014, 20:22

Ashes looked over the duo, his eyes glinting. His amulet glowed, its amber light pouring over the two mares.

"Wasn't Weaver supposed to go off on her own?" asked Ashes, and the duo looked at one another.

Wick looked at Ashes, and then back at the mares. "What are you implying, Ashes?"

Ashes drew his silver blade, causing the duo to back up a tiny bit. "Ashes, what are you doing?"

"Well, if you truly are Rose and Weaver, you would know that this blade cannot do any harm to a pony. So why are you afraid?" asked Ashes, a small smile spreading across his face. "The blade wouldn't even cut through the flesh. It would simply bounce off."

"Ashes, wait. What are you doing?" asked Wick, and Ashes brought the blade down upon the two mares.

Their disguise disintegrated before Ashes eyes, as his blade cut cleanly through their flesh. The two changelings slumped in front of Ashes and Ashes simply wiped the dark red blood off his blade. "Changelings. Always so dumb. Go and find the others, and make sure they aren't changelings. They aren't capable of accessing the memories of their disguises, so ask them something only the crew would know."

Ashes watched as Wick ran off, and the large unicorn cracked his neck, and sighed. "Into the fray once more. At least this time I'm used to my enemy."

------

Ashes walked through the halls, his pupils verticle slits. He could see everything moving around in the darkness. He was well aware of the multiple changelings stalking him as he walked through. As a Bloodborne, they were weary of him, knowing how well he was suited for warfare with anything like a monster. and quite frankly, Changelings fell into that category very easily.

Finally, he turned a corner, and was pinned to the wall by two large changelings, as the torches were lit. Ashes looked around, keeping his calm mentality. They were big, and surprisingly, they had fur. Their spears were held at Ashes throat, and they clicked loudly, apparently communicating.

They unpinned him, still holding their spears to him. They nudged him forward, their spears poking Ashes in the back.

"Easy, I'm not into that kinky shit," Ashes said, getting a bunch of gutteral clicks and barks from the changelings. He groaned, and continued forward.

Nightmare Moon's PoV shortly after the main group arrived at Dragost:

One of Nightmare Moon's scouts that had been sent to assure everything at Dragost had gone according to plans returned to debrief their Queen.

"Your glorious highness, I return with news from Dragost." The scout said and bowed down, not making eye contact with his Queen unless she ordered him to rise.

"You may rise." Nightmare Moon said.

The scout rose slowly and looked at his Queen's feet, she hadn't said he could move freely.

"Queen Amaryllis and her daughter Princess Chrysalis wants to let you know the taking of Dragost went smoothly, a single pony escaped but their scouts hunted him down and with the wounds he got he can't have gone far so there's no risk that Canterlot was alerted. However.."

"However what?" Nightmare Moon asked and raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

"However a medium class frigate from Canterlot arrived shortly before I left but Princess Chrysalis assured me they will be dealt with swiftly and should have no impact on your plans of expanding the war."

Nightmare Moon rose from her seat and began walking down toward and past the scout.

"Excellent then it is time to set my plans in motion, our ground troops shall march upon Canterlot, burning any non-loyal towns and cities to the ground. The fleet shall burn any cloud city that doesn't ally their guard fleet with us and then we shall gather together and surround Canterlot and crush my arrogant sister who thinks she can stand up against the Nightmare's powers and when she lies dead at my feet night shall last forever!" Nightmare Moon vanished out into the darkness with an evil cackle.

Back at Dragost, Wind Rose, Hurricane and 'Weaver's PoV:

Wind Rose and Hurricane had been walking around in the dark corridors for what seemed like an eternity, all they had seen so far was empty houses that looked like they had just upped and left in the middle of whatever daily life routine they were doing. Some houses had traces of dark red blood and what looked like black scales but could also easily be a cooking ingredient or something.

"I don't like this, I don't like it all, Hurricane." Rose said and inspected a kitchen that looked like it had been abandoned in the middle of cooking.

"I don't think any of us does, it almost as if they just vanished without trace.. What c-" Hurricane was cut off by the sounds of running and someone cursing.

"fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. Just our god damn luck, this place is infested with changelings." Night Weaver was running from a bunch of changelings she had "accidentally" bumped into earlier, mindless drones that had been ordered to follow her but she managed to shake them off, after all the shadows was her natural element.

Hurricane and Rose peered around the door corner and saw 'Weaver chased by a pair of changelings.

"Hurricane, Rose! We have to warn the othe-" 'Weaver stepped on a pressure plate and fell down a hole and tumbled around until she lost conciousness.

"WEAVER!" Hurricane and Rose shouted in unison, drawing the attention of the changelings who leapt over the hole and began chasing them instead.

"Shit, RUN" Rose said and dragged Hurricane with her and they ran as fast as they could back the way they came, however they didn't take not EXACTLY which way they came when they ended up in a 3 way section.

"Damnit, do you remember where we came from?" Rose asked.

"I think we came from this way." Hurricane said and began running down one of the corridors.

After running for a few minutes they came into a big dark open hall, they stopped for a moment and looked around when all of a sudden bright green eyes lit up in the dark room.

"Well, fu-" was all they managed to say before they felt something hit them in the back head and they blacked out.

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Post by Arualsti on Fri 28 Feb 2014, 16:56

Wick ran back down the long stairs, the torch bobbing in his mouth. He didn't look back, just kept running. He couldn't remember where Hurricane, Rose and Weaver had gone, or where they could be now. He felt a lurch in his stomach. If the changelings had appeared to look like Rose and Weaver, they must have already seen them. To know what they looked like. Wick didn't know whether changelings could copy voice just by copying the body. He felt sick at the thought of Rose and Weaver screaming and crying for help, just so the changelings could imitate them.

Suddenly, his hoof made contact with loose stone and he went tumbling forward, the torch in his mouth snuffing out. He rolled and crashed down the hard stone steps, before finally coming to a rest. He was sore all over, each breath caused a stabbing pain in his chest. One eye refused to open, not that there was much to see. The darkness was absolute. He reached a hoof up to his face. It was wet with blood. At least he assumed it was blood. He gingerly touched his cheek. It racked with pain, pain almost as severe as when his horn would short out. He tested his magic and a small flame appeared before his eye. It was barely as bright or warm as embers in a dying fireplace, but it was enough to give him the strength to stand. He rose to his feet as shakily as a newborn, his head drooping low in pain. He pulled his saddle bags off his back, and started to pull a few vials out, looking for something to heal him. He was dismayed to only pull out wet shards of glass. Almost all of his potions had smashed, rendering his bombs mostly useless too. A few had survived, one of which was a blood stopping balm, which he applied generously to his face. He had nothing for the pain or the broken cheek or rib. Unless...

Wick pulled the leather satchel out from his bag and opened it. 3 of the 4 syringes had broken, but the 4th was still intact, a shot ready to go. He slid it out of the parcel and held it to the dying light, pushing out the air bubbles and tapping with with a hoof.

'A full shot' He thought to himself 'I need it, I need to pain to go away, I need to forget my fears to find the others'

'No' said another part of him 'You need a clear head, you need to find the strength within you, and to be brave you must know fear'

Wick held the syringe above his rump, the tip close to piercing the flesh, when an icey gust of wind blasted through the room. The light went out. The syringe dropped to the floor and smashed. Wick was blind and deaf to the world, the only sensations he could feel were fear and pain. He heard something behind him. He turned, nothing. He heard a rustle, he turned again, nothing. He heard a scream. Weaver's. He stayed rooted to the spot

“Help me” she screamed, cried even.

He heard hoofsteps from every direction now, and screams too, all Weaver's, coming from all around him. Wick knew they were changelings, coming to get him. He'd failed, he had saved anyone, and now here he was, were he knew he'd always end up, weak and alone, his doom upon him, unable to fight for himself or others.

He fell to the floor and wept like a foal, pulling his hooves above his ears to drown out the screams. The tears stung his face and the sobs hurt his ribs, but he couldn't stop them. He was helpless.

Suddenly, a brilliant white light appeared in front of him. Wick opened his eyes to see a pony, shining before him. She lit the room around him and Wick could see the changelings closing in on him. Some looked like Weaver, others had shiny black skin, other thick, shaggy fur. The pony lifted her horn to the sky, an orb growing at the tip. It grew, and grew, until suddenly it exploded silently. More suddenly expanded rapidly. The flash of light passed through Wick harmelssly, but through the changelings back, some screaming and grabbing their skin. The pony drew a blade and leapt into the group. She slashed silently, occasionally blasting them with light magic from her horn. Wick watched the battle through his hooves, hoping she would win. As the last changeling fell to her, she sheathed her sword and lessened her white light. Wick could see she was a grey unicorn, just shy of middle age, with long red hair. She approached him.

“Do not fear, Wick. I am Inysa. I am a friend.” She said, her voice calm.

Recognition dawned on Wick. He had seen her before, only a day or so ago, in Ice Marsh City. Here she was different though. She stood before him and exuded power and grace. Wick felt almost ashamed to be in her presence. She lowered her horn to his, and Wick felt a surge of power rush through him. His chest and cheek burned and tingled, then the pain fell away. The coldness and general aches and pains washed from Wick, and he slowly climbed to his feet, feeling better than he had in a long time. Only physically though. The fear of failure still clung to him like a disease.

“Unfortunately I cannot rid you of your fear, that is something you must fight yourself” She said kindly, levitating his bags onto his back. “I will lead you to where the others now are”

Wick bowed and followed her. She lit the way, and even though she looked like she walked, she did so with such grace and silence, Wick could swear she was floating. Changelings followed them through the depths of Dragost, keeping their distance. Any that came to close where driven off by a blast of light from Inysa's horn. Eventually they reached a heavy door. Insya pushed it open.

“You'll find your friends down here, but I can travel no further. I am growing weak on this plain and the darkness is too strong for me to go on. But I have strength enough for one gift.”

She lifted a small stone off the ground and focused her horn toward it. It filled with a bright white light, and Wick could notice Inysa grow dim.

“This should help you for now” She said weakly. “Goodbye Wick, and good luck”

She disappeared with a bright flash of light, leaving Wick once again in the dark. The stone hovered in front of him, so he reached out and took it with his magical aura. It was light, but it burned with a power Wick had never felt before.

'This is what powerful unicorns must feel all the time' He thought, before rushing into the darkness behind the door.

The corridor gave way to steep, slimey steps, and Wick took care in travelling down them. He could feel life the further down he went. It was warmer, and there was moss on the walls, and there was the constant dripping of water somewhere nearby. The white light lit the path in front, and kept the changelings stalking him from attacking for now. Wick did not want to know what would happen when they became braver or the light dimmed too much.

Wick felt the ground level out, and a dim orange light appeared in front of him. He got closer and his eyes made out changelings, armoured and armed, gathered round a table. One was huge, long legged and strong, towering above the others, a greatsword strapped to his hip like a shortsword. Wick dived behind a pillar and flicked his ears toward to conversation, straining to hear them.

“What are going to do with them”

“Nothing. The Queen will want to see them before anything happens to them.”

“But what about after? What will we get to do with them after?”

“I want the dark blue one, she has a nice smell, I bet she tastes nice too”

“I want to teach the big male a lesson, surely the Queen won't check his stallion hood?”

“What about the bat? Will the queen want to send he back to the Nightmare armies?”

“Don't be stupid, she is a traitor, the Queen may just want her tortured”

“What about the light blue one?”

“I'm going to rape her and pull her feathers out. The little cunt came round and kicked me in the face”

“What about the green skinny one? He'll be coming down here soon”

“I might snap his horn off, make him drink some of his own potions. I've seen what they can do”

Wick felt his heart in his throat. He had to save his friends. The sooner the better. A groan came from out the darkness near to the changelings. The big one went to it.

“Oh look, the little bat has woken up, have a nice little sleep?” He taunted.

Wick swallowed Weaver was there. The guess the others must be close by. The clock was ticking, he had to do something. His heart beat faster and he felt like he was going to vomit. If only he had a shot of poppy poison, then he could face it. That Wick was brave. This Wick was scared. He stared at the light of the stone. It calmed him, he felt he could see everyone good in his life, everyone who was fighting for a better world. He could be like them, and they wouldn't let him down now.

With his magic he threw the stone into the centre of the changelings. It clinked and rolled on the stone floor, then came to rest. Still magically connected to it, Wick let the power fly. Light filled the room in a flash, all the torches on the wall bursting into flame. The light passed through Wick without harm, but the changelings fell to the ground, clawing at their eyes, screaming in pain. Wick ran toward them, grabbing the closet thing to a weapon he could find, a large black smith hammer. He could barely lift it, but he swung it toward the closest changeling, he skull crunching like a beetles shell. He made quick work of them all, including the brute, who took a few swings to strong squirming. He pulled the keys off his body, and turned toward the cells. All his friends where there, their faces pressed to the bars, their mouths open and in shock.

He made his way to Rose's cell first, about to unlock the door, pausing before he did. “What did I turn myself into the day the airship was shot down over the pirate island?”

“What?” She said looking confused.

“I need to make sure you're the real Rose, otherwise I could just be rescueing a changeling” He said.

“A...urm...seapony!” She shouted

Wick unlocked the door for her, asking all the crew members in turn a question only they could answer, until he reached Weaver. His mind suddenly went blank. In his relief to see she was alive and okay, all he could think of was the last nigh they had spent together. In a tone as hushed as he could manage he asked “What did I get you to wear the night we fucked?”

Re: Ancient Equestria Arc 3: The Rise and fall of Nightmare Moon.

Ashes was marched along, the spears jagging his backside. Finally they came to a large, open room, the sacks of multiple bodies hanging from the ceiling. It made Ashes sick to his stomach, as he stared at the carnage. The guards left him, and Ashes simply looked around, a single beam of light shooting through the ceiling, a small trickle of snow coming down from the hole.

"Good day, Ashes," Said a voice, and Ashes turned to see a rather tall changeling, pretty for one, approaching him. "Having fun in our new Castle?"

Ashes bowed, before approaching the changeling for a light hug. "Chrysalis, its been far too long. I suspect this is the work of your mother?"

"Quite. I personally was told that we were just expanding, but after watching what my mother did to all these poor, poor souls, I can say for sure that this is not just 'expanding', but an act of war," Chrysalis said with a rather annoyed tone. "I suppose your here to see why Dragost went dark?"

"Indeed. We got the report just a few days ago. So, why're you in this desolate corner of the castle?" Asked Ashes, and Chrysalis sighed audibly.

"Mother sent me away after I voice my greivances. I suppose the voice of a princess means nothing here," Chrysalis said, and Ashes thought to himself.

"What says that you have to stay a princess?" Ashes asked, and Chrysalis turned around, looking at Ashes with a raised eyebrow.

"What are you implying, my friend?" asked Chrysalis, and Ashes shrugged.

"You don't agree with your mother, and I'm here to stop her. Perhaps we could work out a deal?" asked Ashes, and Chrysalis sighed.

"This is my mother you're talking about. I mean, I'd love to be queen, but..."

"But what? You can have that chance. I can help you," Ashes said, watching his words run through Chrysalis' head.

"What you're asking of me is very, very-"

"Logical? I know. It's now or never, Chrysalis. Watch your mother drive your species to extinction in this war, or rise up and become a new leader,” Ashes’ voice was layered with false encouragement. He had known Chrysalis for a long time, and she was very gullible, but a strong leader. If he could just convince her this is what she needed to do…

“I don’t want to act brash, Ashes. I shall talk to her when I can,” Chrysalis said lightly, and Ashes shook his head.

“We don’t have time for that, Chrysalis. I have no doubt, with the way your mother has been acting, within a few hours I’ll be within a pod like these, being converted. We need to do this now,” Ashes said, and Chrysalis looked at the ceiling.

“Yes, yes, I suppose so. But I must do the talking,” Chrysalis said, and Ashes nodded.

“Of course.”

Ashes stood by the door, as Chrysalis talked to her mother. The Changelings were to fixated on Chrysalis to notice the large unicorn by the door, quickly opening a case of what looked to be small vials. Ashes listened closely as he looked through the case, a little souvenier from a shop in Ice Marsh City.

“Mother, please, I do not think its for the best. If not helping Celestia, why not withdraw altogether?”

“Because, my lovely, Nightmare Moon will give us a new start. We won’t be treated as outcasts anymore,” Amaryllis said, smiling.

“That’s if any of us are left. What if Celestia wins the way?” asked Chrysalis, looking up at her mother with puppy eyes.

“She won’t, my dearest. Now please, return to your room. We have a big day tomorrow,” Amaryllis’ words were a tad more harsh, but still in her motherly tone.

“Mother, I’m not so sure we can count on that. I mean, what if-,” Started Chrysalis, but was shushed by her mother.

“You don’t have to worry about these things, Chrysalis. Now go to your room.”

“But mo-,”

“Go to your room!”

Time’s up

Ashes’ case was bought from a small, specialty store that sold alchemy goods. In the early days of being a Bloodborne, Ashes had to ingest a good amount of Mutagens to make sure that he could use all the powers a Bloodborne had at their disposal. Since he had no master, he had to make them all on his own, and through this, he learned tiny bit of alchemy. Enough to use pre-created chemicals to make more mutagens. He mixed a few chemicals together, created a phase potion, using up nearly the whole box on a single, tiny potion. He looked up to see the massive  Changeling yelling at her daughter. Ashes had thought the behemoth he had encountered was big, but it seemed when Queen Amaryllis was mobile, she was twice the size of a behemoth, and probably had twice the magic capability.

“Queen Amaryllis, please. There is no need to become angry at your daughter. She just has a simple request,” Ashes said, coming out of the shadows.

“Ashes, I said I would do the talking!” Shouted Chrysalis, causing Amaryllis to glare at Ashes.

“You planned this out? On other circumstances, Ashes, this would be a nice reunion, since you haven’t been at your castle for the past few months, but a little birdy told me that you are working with Celestia.” Amaryllis glared at Ashes, and then at Chrysalis once more. “And since you probably heard everything that I just talked about with my daughter, I guess that means we are enemies.”

“On the contrary, your highness. We don’t have to be enemies, you just have to reconsider your allies,” Ashes said, causing Amaryllis to slam her swissed hoof down on the ground, causing the chamber to rattle.

“I will not reconsider! Nightmare Moon will win this war, and I will not be on the losing side!” Shouted Amaryllis. “That is final! Guards, seize him!”

Ashes quickly downed the Mutagen, causing him to shiver, the disgusting taste filling his mouth. A euphoric feeling overcame his body, and his visions edges started to blur. He drew his Silver blade, and sliced apart the Changelings coming towards him, and started to phase away, when he was hit by a blast of wind. He was slammed into the wall, where he quickly recovered, and phased away once more, trying to make his way to Amaryllis. Her wings started beating quickly, and Ashes was thrown into the air, slamming against the wall.

Ashes fell into the ground, recovering. He was pretty sure he had  broken rib, and his vision was more blurred than before, as if he was phasing faster. It was either that or he had busted an artery and was dieing due to internal bleeding.

He was about to attack Amaryllis, but was hit in the face by a beam of green magic, smashing Ashes into the wall, creating a visible crack. Ashes fell over, blood spilling from his lips, before he was launched into the air by a shockwave of energy. He was quickly caught in the air by a pair of jaws, slowly putting pressure on Ashes already damaged torso. Blood trickled from multiple wounds on his face, as he was crushed.

“Mother, stop! You’ll kill him!” screamed Chrysalis, causing Amaryllis to pause.

“Whft dff yff menfff I’ff kiff himf?” she mumbled, and Ashes twisted out of the grasp, drawing his silver Sword, bringing it down upon Amaryllis’ skull.

In a flash of blood, it was over. Ashes landed on the ground, coughing up blood as he recovered. Amaryllis slumped to the ground, her head split in half, and Chrysalis screamed.

“What have you done!” shouted Chrysalis, looking at her mothers dead body.

“The right thing,” Ashes said, his amber eyes staring at Chrysalis. “You will withdraw from the war, and keep to yourself in the changeling wastelands. You will put your pods out of their misery, and never return here, again.”

Chrysalis, horrified, nodded, and ran off, leaving Ashes in the middle of the throne room, slumped on his blade, covered in blood.
