The War for Equestria 12bdaa6b6aac931780f151c902829343

Rulers of The Families:

Iron Manes:

Iris: Strong, but loving Alicorn. After being a warmongerer for her entire life, the loss of her husband, Steel-Shield left her wanting for a more peaceful life. However, she is prone to angry episodes and is widely considered one of the most rutheless Alicorns in her prime, only beaten by Queen Solaris.

Steel-Hoof: Taking after his Father, Steel hoof is the only child of Steel Shield and Iris, and is a powerful warmongerer who has spent his entire life training to be a perfect killer. By no means is he effective, but hes strong, and boasts that he once took on High Chancellor Wolfsbane of the Bloodbornes in One on One combat. He left out the part where the old pony nearly crippled Steel Hoof for life without laying a finger on the Alicorn. He is known for being angry and agressive, and will kill regular ponies for even opening their mouths.

Sun-Bearers

Solaris: The rutheless queen of the monetary capital of Equestria, Solaris is the oldest of the queens. Having two children with her late husband, who was killed in one on one combat with Steel-Shield, who suffered the same fate, she has long had hatred for the Iron-Manes. She hates her children, as they are destined to be greater than her, and exiled her daughter, but not before slicing off her horn. Known to be snide and cruel, she enjoys hurting other ponies in back stabbing ways, but is very sarcastic and at first glance, seems to be a kind an benevolent ruler.

Firefly: The daughter of Solaris, Firefly was hated from the moment she was born. Not actually the child of Sunlight, her brothers father, Firefly was exiled before she was old enough to even know that she was from a royal family, her mother slicing off her horn and throwing her into the wilderness. Considered the child of High Chancellor Wolfsbane, she is a full blown Bloodborne, but is unable to use magic. Her ultimate goal is to make peace with her mother, no matter what the cost. Known to be down to earth and bubbly, Firefly rarely swears or gets angry, but is often depressed about why her mother abandoned her.

Sun Flare: The royal sun (Ha, see what I did there? No? Okay I'll stop.) of Solaris and Sunlight, He is a posh child who has always hated his life, and wishes nothing more than to leave his mother and live with the love of his life, Evening Star. Flare always dreamed of leaving his posh life for adventure and romance, but is instead locked away in a tower by his mother for reasons unknown to him. Solaris, however, is paranoid that if Firefly comes back, she may murder the boy. Lively and full of hope, Sun Flare is trusting and kind, and hates to see other ponies suffer.

Black Watchers:

Galaxia: Not much is known about Galaxia, other than that she is considered to be the definition of beautiful. Considered to be the first Alicorn, Galaxia specializes in Dark Arcane arts, and spends much of her time studying, with the largest library in Equestria at her hooves. She is kind and generous, and feels that her ponies come first before anything else. While the idea that the Black Watchers are Snyde and cruel, this only comes from the fact that the only part of Black Watch society outsiders ever meet are the mercenaries that guard their borders.

Evening Star: The shining Gem of the Black Watchers, Evening Star is an arcane genius, mastering in every magic from runes to healing to summoning. While she is very young, she is very smart. Like her mother, she is kind and generous, and is also a firm believer that the families can live together in harmony. She is deeply in love with Sun Flare.

Water Wings:

Aqua: The last surviving member of the Water Wings, Aqua is the youngest Alicorn in the land, and an avid scholar. However, with the loss of her brother, she is green in battle. She feels that she needs to be firm, but gentle at the same time with her subjects. Shes far too trusting, bubbly, and loves nature. Has a large crush on Steel Hoof.

Bloodbornes.

High Chancellor Wolfsbane: The ancient Alicorn leader of The Bloodborne, he has mastered the art of everything bloodborne. Kind and benevolent towards his subjects, he has a powerful hate for the families of Equestria, and sees his cause as a necessary Evil. He shares his blood with all of his subjects, and is the only pony who knows the origins of the Bloodbornes. Is a strong, stern leader, but shows kindness for his own daughter, Firefly.

Dust: One of Ashes comrades, is considered the best archer with the Bloodbornes. He is always quiet, and never speaks to ponies outside of the Bloodborne groups. When he does speak, his voice is layered with anger and hatred.

Blossom: One of Ashes comrades, is one of the younger Bloodbornes, and is adept in summoning magic. She talks too much, and doesn't understand that many ponies dislike Bloodbornes. Looks up to Ashes. Bubbly and happy, and has not had her first taste of death yet.

--------------------

It has been nearly 500 years since the founding of Equestria, and since, many kingdoms have been erected upon the fertile land of the continent. At the head of each kingdom lives a powerful Alicorn family, reigning over their lands, some with an iron fist, some with a fair and just reign, but all with one thing in their eyes: Power.
As the turn of the century comes upon the continent, the dawn of war quickly approaches the land. The Sun-Bearers, the Black-Watchers, the Iron-Manes, and the Water-Wings prepare their armies for a war with one another, each family intent on controlling the continent as a hole.

As the torches of war are lit, the greatest warriors of the nations must choose their loyalties, and fight against ponies they once called friends. It would be blood, it would be long, and it would not be easy.

Yet, even as the normal life everypony was used to is torn apart by war, a greater evil is on the rise, taking its chance as the world spins into chaos. As the war escalates, the shadow of the evil tightens its grip upon the land, nopony there to stop it, except for a few, great warriors.

In a race against time and their former friends and foes, these creatures must risk life and limb to save a land torn apart by itself, before there isn’t a land to save.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Mon 11 May 2015, 18:52

A lone pony walked through the burned town, his cloak covering everything except his solemn demeanor. Something terrible had happened here, and the terrible part was that the pony had no idea who did it. Flames roared around the lone figure, taking in the carnage around him.

"A pity, I must say," said the pony, pulling back his hood to reveal his Amber eyes glowing as bright as the flames around him.

Two more figures galloped up beside him, pulling their own hoods back. "Ashes, Sun Bearer and Iron Mane forces approaching from opposite sides."

"Of course they are," Ashes said, looking around him. "They're going to immediately point hooves at one another: These border towns have always been disputed like this, but this is the fifth one this week."

"It's stupid to think this is the main force. A rogue general on one of their sides?" asked one of the other figures, her feminine form showing underneath her cloak.

"Nay, this is not the work of our ponies. Perhaps Griffons from the East? This would be awfully inland," Said the other figure. "Perhaps changelings?"

"We can sense changelings, and there wouldn't be bodies," Said Ashes, looking around. "And the weaponry and warfare style is far too archaic for the Griffons, and the Water Wings or the Iron Manes would have taken care of any invasionary force already. This is something much more terrible."

"What do you think it is then, Ashes?" asked the female, and Ashes shook his head.

"We must visit the oracle," said Ashes, looking up as he saw the torches of the opposing families. "But first, let us attempt to make peace."

"Waste of time, Ashes. They're animals, they'll go at eachothers throats until one side is dead," Said the male, and Ashes nodded.

"I still have faith in those who are not enlightened, Dust. Perhaps this general will see reason," Ashes said, before the female patted his shoulder. "Don't worry Blossom, we'll be safe."

There never was a chance for peace. The battle started as soon as the two armies were within range of one another. Burning bolts of fire flew from either side, and the sides charged one another, more blood spilling into the night. Ashes watched in horror, as the armies clashed, knowing very well what was coming.

"This will be the undoing of our great nation," Ashes said, staring at the battle, his eyes sad with compassion. "Let us return home. There is much to do."

-------------

Solaris sat in her windowsill, watching the night sky, when a young pony ran into her room.

"My queen! News from General Hearth!" shouted the pony, talking around the scroll in his mouth. "They've made contact with the Iron Manes! They burned down the Village of Emerald Grove!"

"Goodness me, is such news true?" asked Solaris, reading her generals scroll before tossing it onto the floor, seemingly indifferent. "Well, I suppose war was inevitable. Finally, a chance to get that whore Iris out the way. Since that bitch has discovered those copper veins in her land, shes become almost as rich as I. I want a formal declaration of war by the morning, and I want you to contact the Water Wings, and demand they help us in this fight."

"And if they don't accept, my Queen?"

"Then we will destroy them as well. We have long pledged to be their ally, why wouldn't they pledge to be ours?"

"Perhaps because this is not their war to fight? There has been no aggression on their part."

"No matter. Call the Black-Watchers as well. My son is courting their princess, and if they want any hope of having a royal marriage between our families, then they will enter the war along side us."

"Of course, my Queen," said the pony, before running out of the building, stumbling over himself.

--------

In the Manechester bay, a massive fleet of ships burned brighter than the sun, as Queen Aqua looked onwards, tears in her eyes.

"My brother was on one of those ships," she murmured. Barely old enough to be ruling, Aqua was not a week over 17 years old. Now, the only pony she trusted to help her rule was laying at the bottom of the Manechester Bay. She was about to break down into tears, when she realized what this meant.

"There is only one nation that shares this bay with us," she said to herself, looking out of her Spires window. The floating capital of Tsunami was a glistening, moving island that circled around the shores of the Water Wing lands, and they were close enough to the bay to see the carnage. "If the Sun-Bearers want to stab us in the back, we will verily ready stab them through their chests."

"Ma'am, scroll from the Sun-Bearers. They say they want us to support them in the war against the Steel Manes, or that we will be considered their enemy."

"They just burned our entire fleet. They will know the wrath of the Water-Wings. Tell them we support the Iron Manes in the war. And that they will be burned like our fleet. Get an army together. We are going to war."

--------

"The other families are squablling again, Mother," Said Evening Star, her bright green eyes staring out the window of the Black-Watcher Royal Castle, a massive Obsidian monolith nestled in the highest mountain tops of the Capital city of Quartz. "The Sun-Bearers want us to support them in their war against the Iron-Manes."

"Let them squabble, my dear. They've been fighting since day one, why should that change?" asked Queen Galaxia, her bright blue eyes summoning runes around her in the throne room.

"Considering that Prince Sun Flare is courting me, I do believe that we should help them," Said Evening Star, batting her eyes.

"Not yet... perhaps there is more to this story than we know," Said Galaxia, staring at the runes. "I do remember High Chancellor Wolfsbane of the Bloodbornes sent a scouting party out to the southlands to investigate a peculiar group of disturbances. Considering that there are no coincidences in this world, that may have something to do with it."

"Should we scramble an army?" asked Evening, and Galaxia smiled.

"Of course, my dear. Nothing wrong with precautions."

-------------

Steel-Hoof walked into his mothers chambers, steaming from his recent battle.

"Mother, they burned down another one of our towns."

Iris looked out into the night sadly, her eyes filled with tears. "So much pain for one world. Can't we just have peace, for once?"

"As long as there is more than one family, there will always be wars," Steel Hoof said, anger in his voice. "They have declared war upon us, and are asking the Black-Watchers and Water-Wings for support."

"Can we not just sign a truce? Our ponies are tired of war, Steel," Iris said, "We can't go to war again."

"Bullshit!" Screamed Steel, running up to his mother and slapping her. "We can destroy them once and for all, enslave their people and rule our own kingdom, greater than ever before."

"Would you like that done to us, my son?" Asked Iris, rubbing her cheek. "Would you like us to be enslaved?"

"No, I wouldn't. But you're missing the point: We have a chance at greatness, and I will not pass up this opportunity because you're afraid of a little war!"

Iris rose from her throne, her eyes filled with fire. "You forget who you're talking to, my son. I am the one who led us through the fire of dealing with the Phoenix Feathers! I led the charge on their kingdom, and I killed their ruler with my own bare hooves. You know nothing of war, nothing of killing. I have had my fill of war, and you will understand the same thing if you lead our ponies into this blind battle. We will knowingly parish, and the pony they once trusted will have betrayed them."

Steel stood back for a moment, before Iris sat down again. "Think about this, Steel. Do we really want another war."

"I don't want another war, but its the only way we'll ever be powerful again."

----------------

"Did the plan work, my boy?"

"Of course it did, Father. They immediately pointed hooves at one another instead of trying to find peace with one another."

"Good, good. Are you sure they've all turned against one another?"

"If they haven't yet, they will soon. They suspect nothing, trust me."

"I know the Bloodbornes do. They're much smarter than the rest of them. They'll eventually find the truth."

"Then we'll have to go through with the plan before they do, yes?"

"Of course. By the time they figure out what is really happening, they'll have long past left the chance to save Equestria in the dust."

-----------

Storm Piercer attached her armour to her chest, as many soldiers clamoured for weapons and ammunition around her. War was upon them, and she was ready. She had long wanted to return to war, and now was a better time than ever. New Queen, no rules, and everything to gain and lose. There was a reason to fight, as well, and there was a chance that they could gain new territory at the end of this, or even get rid of an entire family. Everything was perfect.

She only questioned: Why did the Sun-Bearers burn the fleet?

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Mon 11 May 2015, 23:35

Eyries, born as a pony/gryphon hybrid. Life was never easy for her, even from a young age she was mistreated by her father who was a pegasus from the Black watcher tribe's lands. How he had ended up getting a female gryphon pregnant he would never say, mostly out of fear of being arrested for cross-breeding which would end in his genitals being chopped off in punishment.

As Eyries grew up her resentment towards her father grew more and more, he managed to get fired from whatever job he still had, Eyries never quite knew nor bothered to find out what it was he did. He started spending more time at the pub eyeing the local mares and hoping to shag a prettier pray than the gryphon who he had a child together with. Her mother as is common with gryphons was a female with a great sense of honour and duty, hailing from the lands that belonged to the Iron manes although rumours and legends told of a once great kingdom of Griffons just east of their lands but none who ventured there had returned in recent memory.

On a fateful day, Eyries's father came home from the pub again, drunk off his arse, smelling of sex and booze. Her mother decided that it was enough now, she had tolerated his bullshit for long enough and now their daughter is in their teens and he comes barging in, flaunting his cock at full stand, smelling of sex and booze and demanding that she blow him like a true female. When Eyries's mother stepped in he lashed out at her, gave her a hoof right to the face, cracking and breaking most of the skull before he began choking her, all in front of a shocked Eyries who didn't know what to do.

She regained her senses and took a two handed broadsword off of it's rack, it had been a family heirloom of her mother, raised it and charged at her dumbfounded father who started in fear at his fate until his head was severed from the body. Nothing left in her life now she took the sword and whatever clothing that would be fit on the run and left her past behind, no regrets about her actions.

After wandering the world and taking on whatever jobs she could, kill someone's cheating husband's skank, kill some monsters plaguing merchants, taking out some bandits and whatever else fell into her likes. By the age of 22 she had began to have an reputation and whenever she visited new towns they'd whisper about her and her work, some even came up to her with a nice sum of coin to hire her help to take out some merchant's rival or kill the son/daughter of another family courting the same house they're after.

She even had a small run in with the professional monster hunters of Equestria, the Bloodborne's and while she wasn't allowed to fully train with them without committing to becoming one of them, she did pick up some sword techniques before venturing onward in the world.
Now age 30, Eyries is a renowned mercenary whose skills are widely regarded and sought after, no longer needing to take on whatever jobs she can get she has the luxury of choosing what jobs to pick as nobles and wealthy ponies all seek to hire her skills whenever she's in town.

Her current job is training a special unit within the Iron Mane army, personally employed by the ruler of the Iron Mane's, coin for this job would cover her for quite a few years and while it means she's locked to the capital, she enjoys more freedom than even the nobles.

Eyries was sitting in the local inn of the lower town, the upper town inn was just occupied by nobles and wealthy ponies, good for coin but awful company, none of them knows manual labour like the ponies in the lower town do. She was just arm wrestling with a rather buff looking stallion who thought he could take her on, he ended up with a broken bone.
In that moment the door to the inn swung open and the voices in the inn went quiet as a bat pony, strapped with two swords, a steel and a silver one came through, a bloodborne.

Eyries looked at the newly arrived pony and smiled.

"Well, well, well look who it is, if it ain't good old Night Weaver, Bloodborne and monster hunter extraordinaire. What brings you to the Iron Mane's land my old friend?" Eyries said as Night Weaver walked over to her table with an equally big smile on her face.

"Well y'know I heard you were in town and I just had to come and visit you." Night Weaver said teasingly as she went and sat down by Eyries, ordered a beer and turned to Eyries who was sitting there with a big grin on her face.

"Bullshit, Weaver, I know you better than that, you wouldn't be here unless some damned monster is on the loose or you're passing through the lands to your sanctuary up in the mountains." Eyries took a sip from her own mug of beer as she eyed her friend's reaction.

Night Weaver's ears dropped a bit as she looked down into her mug and sighed before looking back up at Eyries. "Yeah.. you're right, not about the monster part though, wish it had been that. No, Chancellor Wolfsbane's put out a call for all the Bloodborne's to gather at the sanctuary as soon as we can, something's in the air, I can feel it. All these burned villages and confrontation between the families, I fear we're going into wa-"

She was cut off as a royal messenger entered the inn, he was panting and out of breath as he walked up to Eyries's and Weaver's table and raised himself before delivering the message: "Her majesty the Queen requests thine presence immediately, ma'am. Our troops are readying themselves for war and she wants you to attend the meeting with her generals, she won't take no for an answer and bids you to remember the contract you've signed." He said and then awaited her response.

"Damn, Eyries, didn't know you'd picked a side in the war that hasn't even started yet. I hope you've made the right decision, you know where to find me if you decide to not have a part of this." Night Weaver said, chugged up the rest of her beer and stood up and left.

"Ah, fuck. So much for a nice evening of drinking with an old mate, alright boy I'll go see your Queen, if only to remind her that I am no Iron mane and I refuse to take part in a war on their side, no matter what her price is." Eyries said irritatedly and hurried off together with the stallion back to the castle.

"Uh, not to intrude or anything ma'am but exactly how do you think that denying the Queen and her son what they want is a good idea?" The messenger stallion asked curiously.

"Because they'll either like it or have to step over my dead body and the latter is going to be very hard to accomplish." Eyries responded with a hasty tone as she sped up the flight to the throne room, once there she was hurried into the throne room where Iris and Steel-Hoof where waiting.

"Ah Eyries, welcome, welcome. I hope my messenger wasn't too rude in delivering my orders, we'll begin the meeting shortly." Iris said in a soft voice, Steel-Hoof simply nodded at her without saying a word.

"I may have signed a contract to help train a specialized unit in your army in return for a good sum of coin but that doesn't mean you can order me around like an everyday subject of yours, I have my freedom as a neutral part and I refuse to fight under your banner." Eyries stared at Iris with contempt, she watched as her face went from a smile to an annoyed frown.

"I thought you'd be more reasonable than this, Eyries. If the other families knew you were on our side in the field they would hesitate to attack us and lives would be saved." Iris attempted to persuade Eyries with her charm but Eyries was having none of it.

"Listen here you little dipshit, I am a renowned mercenary, if I start taking sides where do you think I'll get my living from? The military? Like they'd ever pay me what I can earn in a month's time by being neutral, my blade may be for hire but when all the families start to act on their petty rivalries then where will I find work? The Bloodborne's will be hired to deal with monsters that pop up thanks to the wars, a mercenary like me will have no place here, I am already a "disgusting" hybrid in the eyes of many." Eyries spouted out, which took both Steel-Hoof and Iris off guard.

"How dare you talk to my mother like that? I should gut you where you stand, plebian." Steel-Hoof began moving towards Eyries, Eyries prepared to enter fighting stance and draw her weapon in an instant if he decided to attack.

"Steel-Hoof, hold your ground. Eyries do I have to remind you that you signed a contract with us? You swore to finish the training of the unit before taking on any other job." Iris gently said.

"With all due respect, Iris. Fuck. You. I am done here, consider your unit fully trained as far as I'm concerned, you could save equally as many lives by not engaging in the war as with me slaughtering the enemies. Now if you have nothing more than orders to spew out at me I am leaving peacefully." Eyries said and turned around to leave when Iris rose from her throne.

"Very well then, Steel-Hoof put out an wanted call on our friend here, anyone who can capture her alive or dead will be handsomely rewarded and while you're at it, make sure she's branded an outlaw in our lands and anyone who hires her will be punished." Iris smiled devilishly at Eyries. "Yes, mother." Steel-Hoof said and left to carry out the order. "I hope you enjoy yourself, escort her out of the castle, once outside it's all fair game for you to hunt her down." Iris said and sat down on her throne.

As the guards moved up to escort Eyries out she took advantage by her larger size than the average pony, knocked some guards out of her way as she slashed through a couple other ones before she dove headfirst out of a window and sped away to the closest border. Once at the border of the Iron Mane lands she made sure she wasn't tailed before ducking into the nearby forest, pulling up the hood on her cloak and hoping to vanish before anyone came to hunt her down.

"Well now what.." She muttered to herself, looking up towards the mountains in the northeast she decided that her best bet would be to find the Bloodborne's and warn them of what could possibly be a 4 way war between the royal houses. Find Night Weaver and she would find refuge and so she set out on a path that would take her to the mountains and beyond.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Fluttershy Sat 16 May 2015, 19:43

When Elinvar was just a baby, he was discovered on the doorstep of a gryphon orphanage, with only a note. His entire childhood was spent there, hoping for a day where he could get a family, the day never came for all the families that came were looking for gryphon children. He quickly gave up hope that day would come, so he would often leave the orphanage during the day.

Eventually he found an old gryphon, running the town's only blacksmith shop. He loved seeing the gryphon turn blocks os steel and iron into useful and beautiful tools.Elinvar wanted to help, but the gryphon would only let him help in the safest of ways at first. After a while, he finally was allowed to work the forge, and he quickly mastered bending hot steel to his will.

When he became of age, he left his home town to pursue better work. This lead him to the Iron Manes. They needed weapons, and they needed them in quantities. They had almost become his family, he would follow batallions almost into battle to keep their tools of war in good condition, but he learned not to make good friendships because many soldiers wouldn't come back.

Fast forward to today. His services weren't currently required this night so Elinvar retired to the inn for a drink. He sat in the corner, at a table filled with Iron Mane soldiers who insisted upon buying a drink for the pony that crafted the weapons and armor that saved their lives. He has protested to their offers at first, but had found it was always easier to just accept them. As the enening progressed he had noticed that hippogriff merc had also come in, and also that she had friends who were Bloodborne. A courier arrived bearing news which agitated the merc, and offended the Bloodborne, they then quickly left. "Well thats never good" Elinvar mumbled to himself, for when those higher on the payroll know of something the grunts don't, it's never good for the grunts.

That night he went to bed with everything arranged so that he may easily ditch this soon-to-be-sinking ship.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Mon 18 May 2015, 21:42

Ashes walked past a small group of Iron Mane soldiers, who watched the group of Bloodbornes through their steel helmets. There was four of them watching the group, while two others were busying doing something behind them. As Ashes and his entourage approached, it became apparent they were beating a pony, and tying said pony together.

"Sweet Wolfsbane, they're already doing their usual executions," Said Dust, and Ashes just chuckled.

"You come through the Iron Isles enough, you see this at least 4 or 5 times a trip. Lynching of foreigners isn't uncommon," said Ashes, watching as they dragged the victim pony towards a tree. "Usually due to a crime of some sort."

As they came closer, the Iron Mane's who weren't dealing with the other pony stood in the middle of the road, their spears at the ready, pointing towards the bloodbornes.

"Halt! You are under arrest by order of the Monarch of the Iron Manes!" shouted what seemed to be their commander. "Drop all weapons, and proceed forward slowly."

Dust grit his teeth, but Ashes calmly put a hoof on him, before replying. "Don't you know it's illegal under all houses to Arrest Bloodbornes?"

"Fuck your laws! You're foreigners, you're our enemies!" shouted the commander, before taking a step towards the Bloodbornes. "If you do not comply, you will be executed!"

Ashes just sighed, and looked back at Dust, before nodding. Dust's battle saddles made a springing sound, and clanked upwards, and two bolts were fired from his crossbows, punching straight through the armour of the Iron Manes. Ashes drew his Steel Claymore, and quickly approached the remaining spearponies. By now, the other two had abandoned their victim, and moved grabbed their own blades in their mouth and started to charge Ashes, but not before a wall of flames pushed them back. Blossom stepped forward, her blue eyes glowing almost icy blue, as she summoned a great swath of fire, engulfing the two swords-ponies in the flames. Their screams filled the air, as their skin melted and molded to their armour, the iron acting like an oven.

Ashes easily dodged the spear-ponies' jabs, barely moving left and right, before swinging his Claymore to deliver a lethal blow to the throat of one of them. Now all that was left was the officer. He jabbed at Ashes, but instead was flung backwards, slamming into the road. Ashes' horn glowed bright yellow, using one of his Bloodborne signs to throw the officer back. Slowly approaching the winded officer, Ashes raised the blade above his head, and brought it down upon the officer, sending a spray of blood into the air.

"You also get used to that, after you've passed through the Iron Isles once or twice."

----------

"Battle ranks!" Shouted one of the commanders. Storm looked across the field, her heart dropping. This would be no battle, this would be a slaughter. What they faced was not an army, but a squad, of what looked like politicians. Were the commanders going to really kill these poor ponies? She flew over to the head of her century, and landed next to him.

"Sir, permission to speak freely?"

"Granted."

"Don't you think its a little small to be an invading force? They look more like politicians than anything..."

"Aqua gave the order to kill any Sun-Bearer ponies coming into our lands. Who are we to question her orders?"

"Considering shes not even old enough to formally serve in our army..."

"Remind me, Storm, how old where you when you enlisted?"

"Uh..." Storm had to lie through her teeth again. "17."

"Then that would mean that we would have just celebrated your 25th birthday, instead of your 23rd. I may not seem it, but I occasionally do pay attention. Now form ranks. I want you to take them into battle."

Storm groaned, and flew to the front, and drew her shock spear. "Alright, lets move it grunts!"

They steadily marched towards the envoy, until they were within speaking range.

"Greetings, soldiers of the Water Wings! We come to ask for your Alliance in our war against the Iron Manes!" shouted what seemed like their leader. "From there we can split up the land!"

One of the commanders of the Water Wing's approached the leader, and exchanged a few words. From the look on the Leader's face, and his pleading eyes, he realized he had come to the wrong place at the wrong time. The commander looked straight at Storm, and called her over.

"Storm, why don't you use that move you like to use on groups of enemies?" asked the commander, and Storm tilted her head.

"Why?"

"We need to teach these Gold Wearing fuckers that they shouldn't mess with the Water Wings. Now, kill them."

Storm looked her commander straight in the eye, before looking at the diplomats. "No."

"What?"

"I said no. Why don't we send them on their way, or hear what they have to say. There seems to be a misund-"

She didn't finish her sentence before the commander delivered a shock spell to Storm's plate armor, nearly knocking her out from the pain. Storm crumpled underneath the pain, before unsteadily getting to her feet.

"That was an order. Now kill them."

Storm raised her spear, crackling with lightning, and was about to send a shockwave into the Sun-Bearers, before quickly turning and hitting the commander with the spell, sending sparks flying from his armour as he flew into the air.

Everypony was a little stunned that Storm had just done that. She had always been loyal to her commander, and followed every order without a whim, but now, that commander had just been annihilated, by his most loyal soldier, and now she stood over his smoking body.

"Traitor! Get her!" shouted another commander, before Storm came to her senses.

That was it. There was no going back anymore. She took off, dodging spells and arrows alike, soaring through the skies at breakneck speeds.

----------

"Welcome home, Ashes, Dust, Blossom. I trust your trip was uneventful?" asked Wolfsbane, greeting the trio at the gate of the massive sanctuary.

Akin to a massive obsidian, Gothic fortress, The Bloodborne's sanctuary was said to be carved from the mountain with picks made of dragon bone and its towers constructed with the backs of the Minotaurs. It's peaks were visible even from the grasslands of the Iron Isles, and with the telescope in its highest tower, the Bloodbornes could keep ample tabs on everypony. The courtyard was the size of small town, and the castle walls housed well over 500 Bloodbornes, and countless other apprentices and non-bloodborne assets. Almost always snow covered, the castle looked dreary, but was bustling with life and happiness. It was the only place a Bloodborne felt at home, not discriminated against. It felt good.

"Ha. We only witnessed armies murdering one another, ponies being tortured for being foreigners, and countless monsters on our way up here," Said Ashes, brushing off his cloak. "I'm suprised we made it through, to be honest."

Suddenly, a batpony came limping over to where Ashes was. Ashes embraced her in a deep hug, and gave her a smile. "Good to see you, 'Weaver. It's been too long."

"I forgot how it feels to be among so many of our own," Said 'Weaver, smiling. She was torn up, but alive. "Damn monsters almost cut me short of having the pleasure."

"Any news from the Iron Isles?" asked Ashes, and 'Weaver nodded, her face grim. "They're gearing up for war, not sure against whom, but its bound to get bloody."

"So our worst fears are confirmed. They're going to war with the Sun Bearer's, and no doubt alliances will form soon," Said Ashes, before sighing. "I need to see the oracle."

"Of course," said Wolfsbane, gesturing towards the dungeon door. "She's been expecting you for a few days now."

Ashes nodded to his compatriots, and he walked towards the dungeon, opening the door silently, and decending down the stairs. He came to a small, wooden door, light pushing through it. Ashes took a deep breath, before pushing through the threshold, to reveal the home of the oracle.

It was a pure white room, for how long it went, no one knows. Some say eternity. A small wooden path led to a massive wooden mansion, boarded up and locked down tight. In front of the mansion was a graveyard, with small garden as well. There sat a pure white pony, her eyes yellow and slits, much like Ashes'.

"Hello, Winter," Greeted Ashes, walking next to her.

"Hello Ashes."

"Have much company recently?" asked Ashes, and Winter shook her head.

"Only the regulars."

The regulars being Firefly, and Wolfsbane: Wolfsbane knew that the oracle became lonely, and Firefly was constantly fixated on her future. Ashes nodded, and sighed. "I apologize, this is not a social visit."

"I know. Let me see if I can find your prophecy..." Said Winter, her eyes going pitch white.

Suddenly, they glowed bright yellow, and she stared into Ashes' own eyes.

"Torches of war under hatred’s sails,
A whisper of doom on a wary breeze,
Scorching the shores in a blazing trail,
Cinder and fume foul the air we breathe,

Blood of fallen kings,
Blades of chaos ring,
Steel and silver sing,
For justice.

Wake the White Wolf at the dawn of war
The end of the age is-a coming now."

She stopped, to see Ashes had gone pale. He knew this was coming, but for how long? Too long was the answer, but now it was here, and he knew what had to be done.

"Thank you Winter," Ashes said, standing up. Winter smiled, and waved as he walked away.

"Visit me some time!"

-------

Ashes entered Wolfsbane's study, where Firefly was speaking to her adopted father. She turned to see Ashes, and ran over to embrace her close friend, before greeting him.

"Ashes! It's been far too long, old friend. How are you?"

"I could be better. I suppose you should be here for this talk as well," Ashes said, and Wolfsbane turned towards Ashes.

"What is it, my boy?" asked the old alicorn, walking warily toward Ashes.

"The war isn't the real danger, its what caused it," said Ashes, his eyes narrowed. "There's something much darker at work here, and we cannot face it alone."

"Well, what is the real danger, then?" asked Wolfsbane, and Ashes shook his head, shrugging.

"I don't know, and I'm not certain we can figure it out alone," said Ashes. "We need time to figure this out, but knowing the families, they're going to tear apart Equestria, and you know how Chaos attracts monsters. This is one big cluster-fuck, and I don't know how we're going to stop it."

Wolfsbane nodded, and sighed. "I suggest we wait for a while. We need to consolidate our forces, and battle these bastardized creatures that are flooding over the wall. Troop movements always seem to stir up the small ones, but the battles is what are going to attract the larger predators."

"Understood master. I'll get on it right away," said Ashes, and Wolfsbane nodded. "I know you will."

--------

Storm sat inside a small tavern, drinking herself to death, realizing that everything she had worked for in life had been thrown away in that moment. Why did she have to be so stubborn? She should've just followed orders. She was about to order her last drink, when a cloaked figure walked inside, a big bag of coin on his hip.

"Any of y'all good with a weapon? I'm in need of an escort," said the figure, who was outfitted with weapons himself. "My journey is not one can make alone."

Storm turned, and raised her hoof. "I'm decent with a spear."

"Are you willing to make the journey north?" asked the figure. "All the way to the Wall?"

While Storm had never been that far North, she was sure she could handle it. "I'll do it. What's the coin look like?"

"500 now, 500 there."

"You got yourself a deal."

With that, Storm took off, intent on creating a new name for herself. Little did she know what that meant doing.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Wed 20 May 2015, 03:27

*Somewhere in the forests outside the north western borders of the Iron mane's lands.*

"Shit fuck, balls, bollocks, cocks, sons of bitches, whore cunts and all the is unholy, why the fuck did I have to choose to stand against the fucking Queen of the Iron Manes? Good fucking job Eyries, now you're a wanted mare, no one's going to bloody hire me now."

Eyries cursed for herself loudly in the woods, certain enough that anyone who had been tailing her was long behind her now. For few minutes she just stood there in silence, listening to the winds and the sounds of nature until it was interrupted by growling, not the good kind of growling that comes from your stomach when you're hungry.. No this growling meant either two things: Bears or worse.. Timber wolves.

Eyries's cocked her Avelynn, loaded her muskets and entered her fighting pose with her sword drawn and held ready in one hand while the other rested on her Avelynn that was strapped to her side with a rope which granted her easy access to quickly pull forward her Avelynn for a quick triple shot of arrows onto whatever foe decided to charge her.

Suddenly a small pack of Timber wolves jumped out of the foliage and charged her head on, Eyries pressed the triggers of her Avelynn and pierced the first three timber wolves before shoving her Avelynn back to her side.
She took a firm grip on her sword handle and charged the remaining wolves with astonishing speed for such a large creature as herself, while the wolves where magical creatures and a silver sword would be best to deal with them, she had no such luxury nor training.

The battle was over fairly quickly and Eyries made sure to burn the remains under some thick coverage of trees so as to hide the smoke as much as possible. Wiping a bit of sweat from her forehead from standing close to the fire, standing in silence she was thinking of where to go next. Anywhere further south was probably not a good idea, the Iron Manes and Sun Bearers would probably clash with each other and the Water Wings would undoubtedly be dragged into it..

She could try and leg it towards the west coast and try to hitch a ride to the unknown parts of Equestria, no one would follow her there.. But that would require a few days on foot at best through Black Watcher land and with the other factions dragging each other into war there, it was only logical to assume that the Black Watchers would seize opportunity and attack the Iron Manes or Sun Bearers and thus would begin a four front war.

She remembered something Night Weaver had said at the tavern only a couple hours ago: "You know where to find me, if you decide to not take a side."

"Blasted cunts, I guess I've no choice but to take my fat ass to the bloodborne sanctuary, last place on this blasted earth I'd thought I'd have to go to." Eyries muttered to herself as she warmed herself for just a minute longer, when she suddenly heard a twig crack somewhere behind her. Eyries drew her sword and pointed it at a.. Pony?

"Who the fuck are you? More importantly why are you sneaking up on me, trying to slit my throat or something?" Eyries put the tip of her sword to his throat, keeping him a good two arms length away from her.

"No, no, I'm sorry, I just wanted to warm myself a little bit. I saw you at the inn today and you rushed away quickly after the royal messenger came and went I figured that if those higher on the payroll know of something the grunts don't, it's never good for the grunts." He said, a bit worried about the sword still at his throat.

Eyries's lowered her sword and put it back in it's sheath before she turned to the fire and let the stallion move up beside her to warm himself, he didn't look like any soldier or assassin for that part. "So what's your name, fella?" She asked him, he piped up: "Elinvar, miss. I was a blacksmith in the capital but I left that behind, figured I should get hell outta dodge before I get dragged into the army and end up dead on some field in the middle of nowhere." Elinvar replied, gaining a scoff from Eyries.

"Listen, punk, I'm heading to the bloodborne sanctuary up in the mountains to the north, y'know the professional monster hunters? Yeah them, 'bout probably the last place on this earth that will be neutral ground in the coming conflict and I think they could use a blacksmith." Eyries's smirked as she looked at the pony, his ears pointing up showing that he was paying attention and was interested in what she was saying.

"Sounds interesting but I have no idea where it is or how to get there, in case you haven't noticed I'm not exactly the fighting type, I can craft weapons and armour of high quality but I've never had to use one myself." Elinvar explained, garnering a laugh from Eyries.

"Let me worry about that, we stick together like partners and I'll get you there in one piece, free of charge and in return you'll repair my weapons and armour for free, that sound like a good deal to you?" Eyries said and turned to Elinvar who looked back at her and nodded before they shook each others hoof and paw like talon.

They put out the fire and started moving on through the forest, only disturbance being small critters. After a few hours of walking, Eyries suddenly stopped. "What? What is it?" Elinvar asked and looked around nervously. "ssch, be quiet I hear something, somepony rather." Eyries said and motioned for Elinvar to be quiet as they snuck closer to where the sound was coming from.

"We'll camp here for the night and keep moving in the morning." One of voices said. "Alright, I'll go scout the nearby area, make sure it's safe." The other voice said.

Eyries cursed silently, she took off some of her heavier gear and told Elinvar under death threat to keep an eye on the things and if he even thought about taking them and running away she'd hunt him down and make his death very painful. With that, she moved up quietly, stealth not being her forte exactly. While moving quietly might not be one of her strength, her hearing was pitch perfect and fine tuned to pick up any kind of movement, this time it was the shuffling of hooves that alerted her to someone behind her and she turned around quickly and brought her sword down only to meet a parry as the steel clanged against each other and echoed throughout the forest, she brought it around for another swing trying to catch her opponent off guard but was again met with a perfect parry.

"Give up, there's no use. You can't kill me." The pony said, Eyries grunted in rage as she shoved the pony off balance with her body weight and brought her blade down for a killing blow only to have her own balance thrown off by a perfect parry strike and just as both of them were about to exchange blows again the second pony rushed up in between them yelling: "STOOOOOOP!".

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Thu 21 May 2015, 19:29

"STOOOOOOP!" Shouted Storm, jumping inbetween the two opposing forces. She put her shock spear inbetween their blades, the weapons clanging off them, vibrating the shaft of the weapon. The two enemies stopped for a moment, and Storm looked upwards, breathing heavily.

"We're not your enemy!" said Storm fiercely at the Hippogriff, and the hybrid lowered her weapon.

"Then what are you?" asked the Hybrid, and the Bloodborne sheathed his weapon.

"Travelers. I am attempting to get to the Bloodborne sanctuary. Question is, what are you?" asked the Bloodborne, and Storm poked him with her spear.

"No need to be racist, River," Said Storm, looking over the hippogriff. "She's definitely not a Iron Mane, or a Sun Watcher, thats for sure. I'm Storm Piercer, and this is Roaring River."

"Uh-huh. I'm Eyries. And the pony hiding in the bushes over there is Elinvar." Said the hippogriff, jabbing a thumb backwards towards the bushes. Out of them popped up the head of a pony, who promptly waved.

"What in Wolfsbane Blessings are you doing this far north, hybrid?" asked Roaring River, and Eyries glared at him.

"Fleeing the Iron Manes. Trying to get to the bloodborne sanctuary, I have a few friends the-"

Suddenly, the sky flashed bright white, and a beam of white light punched through the sky, exploding into what looked like a supernova into the sky. Bright blue and red lights made a beautiful pattern within the sky, dancing like ponies.

"The call of the hunt," Said River, his eyes reflecting the pattern. "I guess the call home really is definite now. We have to leave at the first light of dawn. You two can stay with us, considering that you're on your way there anyhow, but I don't want you slowing us down tomorrow."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Tue 26 May 2015, 15:12

Night Weaver's PoV:

Night Weaver stood outside the inn, the sun settling. Eyries had rushed off to meet the Queen of these lands which didn't bode well, it had been nice meeting Eyries again although briefly. In their line of work it's not often you have the time to sit down and have a chat, there's always someone who needs a monster killed or needs the help of a mercenary to escort them safely somewhere or take out a bandit camp.

"Hmm, there's still time to get to the Sanctuary, maybe I should go see if there's any contracts that the town needs the help of a bloodborne with." Weaver told herself and went to look for a noticeboard. Along the way groups of soldiers ran past her and officers were nailing up some papers a bit here and there, she didn't bother to read them since she wasn't of Iron Mane land it didn't apply to her.

As she kept walking she noticed more and more ponies staring at her and whispering stuff to each other, the stigma of being a bloodborne and bat pony didn't exactly make her any friends when she was in town. After a while of walking she found the town's noticeboard in front of the town hall, she looked it over but didn't find any work for a bloodborne, what she did find was a call to arms which said that any able pony of age was to report to their nearest soldier camp for immediate servitude to their Queen in the coming war.

"Shit, that's not good, I've gotta get back to the sanctuary.. I need to report this to the grandmaster and Firefly as soon as possible, argh if only Eyries would still be here I could've really use her help right now but it's not like I haven't made the journey there myself before.." Weaver mumbled to herself as she set off north, she decided to walk to the borders so as to not draw attention to herself before she flew the last way.

A few days later.

"Argh come at me then you beasts, I can take you all on myself." Weaver had ran into a pack of wolves that looked particularly hungry for her flesh, they must have been agitated by all the troop movement in the areas where they used to nest and now they've become extremely aggressive towards anypony.

A moment later the wolves were dead but she hadn't gone unscathed either, they had managed to get a few bites and scratches at her although nothing life threatening, she'd still need to clean the wounds but that would have to wait until she came to the Sanctuary.

Suddenly her medallion vibrated and she looked into the sky which flashed bright white, and a beam of white light punched through the sky, exploding into what looked like a supernova into the sky. Bright blue and red lights made a beautiful pattern within the sky, dancing like ponies.

Weaver recognized the call of the hunt, it was meant to alert any Bloodborne's out in the world to hurry to the Sanctuary. She leapt into the air and took off towards the sanctuary at full speed. She arrived at the Sanctuary a few hours later, limping into the courtyard. She saw Ashes, Dust, Blossom and Wolfsbane there, it looked like Ashes and his gang had arrived just before her.

As she came limping towards them Ashes noticed her and embraced her in a deep hug, and gave her a smile.

"They're gearing up for war, not sure against whom, but it's bound to get bloody."

As Ashes walked away. Weaver sat down on the ground, Dust and Blossom rushed over to her. "You okay? You look quite beat up, those monsters must've made quite a number on you." Dust said and motioned for Blossom to go fetch the healer.

"Ah just a large pack of wild wolves that were especially hungry, probably was a good 20 or so of them, they got me a bit here and there but nothing major. I'll be up and running again soon enough, I guess I'm just getting old haha." She jokingly laughed before the healer arrived and looked her over before casting a spell that sealed up the wounds.

"Thanks." Weaver said, "What would you guys ever do without me and my magic hmm?" Lilac the healer said as she helped Weaver up. "Yeah good to see you too, Lilac."

A day or two later:

There was a commotion in the courtyard, Weaver had been busy discussing their next move together with Wolfsbane, Ashes and Firefly when a scout came in and reported that River had returned with a bunch of strangers.

"I'll go see what the commotion is about." Weaver said and left as the others returned to their discussions, what she hadn't expected to see though was River alongside Eyries and Storm whom was a renowned Water wings soldier.

"Eyries? What the fuck are you doing here? And you River, mind explaining why you're dragging a Water wing soldier into our Sanctuary? This is supposed to be neutral ground, if she's a representative of her nation then we need to contact the others for ambassadors as well before this shit gets out of hand and someone thinks we've taken the side of the Water wings." Weaver spoke in a stern voice as she turned to River for an explanation.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Fluttershy Fri 29 May 2015, 23:17

Elinvar was awoken to the sound of bells ringing. "Nuts" he insightfully quoted as he got out of bed and made his way to the window. He opened the window and called out to the first pony he saw.
"Hey, what's that bell about"
"I'm not really sure, but some pegasus flew by saying something about how all able bodies should report to headquarters"
"Thanks" he closed and backed away from the window "shit." Well his plan of waiting at the base for a while went tits up sooner than expected. Elinvar grabbed his hammer and small bag of food and left the building. More than likely that bell was for a draft, and a draft means they need as many bodies as possible, and if they need as many bodies as possible it means that they're expecting it to be bloody. Elinvar was fine with taking their money for repairs, but he isnt going to die for a kingdom he wasn't even born in. He diagonally followed the crowd, making his way to the edge in order to leave for the forest.
Once at the forest, Elinvar realized he had no where to go, he has no family, no real close friends to provide a safe-house. "Shit." He had nothing better to do so he just started walking. He just kept walking until he heard a comotion in the distance. He froze trying to make out what it was until he realized it was that hippogryph merc finishing off some timberwolves and disposing them into a fire. He thought to himself "might as well talk to her, better than faffing about in a forest until some soldiers pick me up for deserting"
When he got close he thought maybe he should call out to avoid startling the highly trained merc but a snapping twig beat him to it.
fuck.
"Who the fuck are you? More importantly why are you sneaking up on me, trying to slit my throat or something?" She instantly had a sword pointed at his throat.
double-plus-fuck. " No, no, I'm sorry, I just wanted to warm myself a little bit. I saw you at the inn today and you rushed away quickly after the royal messenger came and went I figured that if those higher on the payroll know of something the grunts don't, it's never good for the grunts."
She sheathed the sword and went back to the fire. He awkwardly sat down next to the fire not entirely sure of what to do next.
"So what's your name, fella?"
"Elinvar, miss. I was a blacksmith in the capital but I left that behind, figured I should get hell outta dodge before I get dragged into the army and end up dead on some field in the middle of nowhere."
"Listen, punk, I'm heading to the bloodborne sanctuary up in the mountains to the north, y'know the professional monster hunters? Yeah them, 'bout probably the last place on this earth that will be neutral ground in the coming conflict and I think they could use a blacksmith"
The sound of good work excited Elinvar, especially if it pays well, which for monster hunters that demand the best, probably would pay the best. "Sounds interesting but I have no idea where it is or how to get there, in case you haven't noticed I'm not exactly the fighting type, I can craft weapons and armour of high quality but I've never had to use one myself."
"Let me worry about that, we stick together like partners and I'll get you there in one piece, free of charge and in return you'll repair my weapons and armour for free, that sound like a good deal to you?"
They started heading off but they suddenly heard noises"What? What is it?" Elinvar asked and looked around nervously. "ssch, be quiet I hear something, somepony rather." Eyries said and motioned for Elinvar to be quiet as they snuck closer to where the sound was coming from.
The voices talked of setting up camp for the night. The merc dropped some of her heavier armor and equipment next to him and made death threats at even the thought of running off with it. Elinvar stayed in the bushes with the merc's equipment as she quietly made her way to the camping ponies. They had began fighting but he couldn't see the details because of his hiding spot. The fighting stopped when a mare yelled. Elinvar had trouble hearing the conversation but popped up and waved at the sound of his name.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Mon 01 Jun 2015, 20:50

Ashes walked out of his room, tailed by Blossom. She was still a student, and had much to learn from the far senior bloodborne. Ashes, while young, was seen as senior to many of the newer students, as he had the cutie mark of a bloodborne. While some older members had their own cutie marks, it was still rare. Yet, Ashes had proven himself fully, much like Night Weaver had. "A dying breed" the elders called them, however, Ashes knew that even those without the cutie mark could become great warriors: Firefly was one of them, even though she was an Alicorn.

Blossom lightly nuzzled Ashes a goodbye, and walked down the hallway. At that moment, Ashes heard yelling from outside. He focused his hearing, and heard his compatriots, River and Night Weaver, Quarreling at the base of the citadel. River, who was also a Bloodborne cutie mark bearer, was like Ashes: School of the Wolf, while 'Weaver was school of the Spider. While Ashes had great respect for 'Weaver, River had nothing but disdain for her, calling her a thief and a backhanded assassin. He really didn't have much respect for anypony, really. If you weren't a pure born pony, Wolf's School Bloodborne, you were a lesser being than him.

Ashes walked down into the main courtyard, and about flipped shit. In front of him were three outsiders, one whom was a renowned Water Wing soldier, standing in their midst. Ashes grit his teeth angrily, and took a stand next to Weaver, his eyes forced down in a cold stare.

"Look, I know you guys are pissed, but how the fuck was I supposed to know she was a Water Wing?" asked River, and Ashes groaned loudly.

"Her fucking armour wears the insignia," Ashes said angrily, tapping Storm Piercers' chest plate. "This is Storm Piercer, we base our spear fighting techniques off of her ways now, River."

River looked at her crossly, and sighed. "You never told me."

"Well, considering that the Water Wings probably want my head, I don't think I'm considered their soldier anymore," Said Storm Piercer, before raising an eyebrow. "And judging from that tone of voice, you must be one of the ponies in charge here."

Suddenly, River drew a blade to Storm's throat, the steel gleaming in the cold winter morning. "That probably means that we'll get a pretty penny if we send her back to the Water Wings."

"Enough, River. We aren't authorized to go down there unless we are called upon," Ashes said, pushing the blade down. "And the other two: who are they?"

"Former Iron Mane Compatriots, seeking refuge from the war," Said River, who then sheathed his blade. "Water Wing's are gearing up for battle with the Sun Bearers, while the Iron Manes are planning to invade both lands. We're going to have a three-pronged war on our hands here soon."

"Fucking perfect," Ashes said, before looking at River. "Well, any word from our brothers in the Sun Bearer lands?"

"Probably dead, or starving in the desert," Said River, and Ashes shook his head.

"Well, get those outsiders out of here," Said Ashes, his Amber eyes focusing on the outsiders. "We can't have any ambassadors deciding to give us a nice suprise visit and seeing these three, even if they are fleeing the war."

"I'm not leaving until I get paid," said Piercer, and Ashes sighed.

"Very well, if River promised you pay, then you shall get it," Said Ashes, before looking up at the sky. There was a terrible wind blowing, an ice in the air that he hadn't felt in a long time. "Best we get inside. Even though we are tough, Bloodbornes are prone to freezing."

As they approached the doors to the large building, Grand Master Wolfsbane stepped outside, and saw the outsiders.

"Ah, showing them a little Bloodborne hospitality?" Asked Wolfsbane, smiling. "Welcome, you three, and good day, River. I applaud you, for once again, breaking our code."

"Apologies, master," Said River, and Wolfsbane's smile dissipated.

"If you were a recruit, I'd have you lashed to a pulp. But because you've been with us for so long, I'll spare you," Wolfsbane said. "Though, I may have a use for these outsiders. With all the tribulations at home, I cannot spare many of our own for outside missions. We'll speak about it at supper."

"They're staying til supper?" asked Night Weaver, "What if an ambassador comes?"

"You're worried more about an ambassador, instead of them finding out our secrets? Perhaps your mind is misguided, my dear," Said Wolfsbane, before smiling. "Do not worry. Nopony would ever travel in this weather. All of you, get cleaned up. I'd hate for you to look bad in front of our guests, though I'm sure Ashes has already made a wonderful first impression."

----------

Ashes leaned back in his bath, the steam flowing around him, before breathing out, his eyes closed. Suddenly, a door opened to his bathhouse door, and Ashes looked over to see Blossom, covered in a light dress. Her mane, blue streaked with grey, still had not felt the full effects of the mutagens, and her eyes maintained their dark blue, indigo color, almost dancing in the faint light of the bath house.

"Blossom, you're old enough to know better than to sneak into the stallion's bath house," Ashes teased, and Blossom giggled, dropping her cloak away, seductively smiling.

"Oh, but that is where you're wrong, Ashes," Said Blossom, slowly dipping herself into Ashes' bath. "I'm not old enough yet."

She batted her eyes at Ashes, before taking his stallion-hood into her soft hooves, and slowly stroking his member. Ashes breathed out lightly, biting his lips, as he threw his head backwards in pleasure. Blossom simultaneously drained a bit of the water from the bath so that Ashes' cock was out of the water, and immediately took it into her mouth, sucking down until she felt it in the back of her throat.

After a few moments, Ashes pushed her head up, and turned her around, before sliding himself into her crescent, pushing quickly and deeply inside her. Each time he thrusted, Blossom gasped in pleasure. He increased his pace and intensity, until he was moments away from climaxing. He pushed into Blossom as far as he could, before releasing his seed into her.

They collapsed into the bath together, before Ashes laughed lightly. "I thought I was in here to get cleaned up."

--------------------

All of the elite bloodbornes entered the mess hall, with the three outsiders, and sat at their seats. Ashes had a multitude of different herbs and mutagens in front of him, while the outsiders had massive salads, perhaps the only ones they had seen in days. They mowed down, as Grand Master Wolfsbane took his position.

"Ahem, order in the hall," Said Wolfsbane.

Storm Piercer looked up, to see the old Alicorn smiling down at them. "Welcome, outsiders. It's odd having new faces here: It's been nearly 10 years since the last outsider saw the inside of this room. Ashes made quick work of that, didn't you?"

Ashes grunted, drinking a glass of Vodka to wash down the taste of his mutagen.

"Well, now that you're all here, I have a contract for a few of you: Being Ashes, Night Weaver, Firefly, Eyries, Elinvar, and Storm, if you choose to accept. I realize, after speaking to River, that Elinvar is not a warrior, but his skills could be used here," Said Wolfsbane. Firefly's ears perked up. "We've had reports of Necrophages coming over the mountains, attacking small Black Watcher towns. We believe it to be the work of a Necromancer, but we cannot be sure. We need all the muscle we can use here, but you're useless unless you're killing monsters, and I'm sure that you can use the help."

"Aye, I can see how that works," said Ashes, leaning back in his chair. "Question is, are we sure these runts can take on a Ghoul, or worse, an Alghoul? What if there's a NoonWraith, or perhaps something worse?"

"For fucks sakes, Ashes, it's too fuckin' cold to summon a Noonwraith in this weather," said Night Weaver, and Ashes shrugged.

"Regardless, at dawn, you will all go to the town of Black-Bend, about 2 Wing-Miles from here, and you will see what happened. If you can find out, end whatever is causing these ponies suffering."

"Alright, finally," Said Ashes, smiling. "I haven't killed a monster in weeks, and this'll be Firefly's first real mission. Finally, things are heating up around here."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Eyries stood up and stared right at Wolfsbane. "With all due respect, grandmaster. But we're not exactly equipped to deal with monsters, we're no Bloodborne's nor do we have silver weaponry and I doubt you're willing to give up any of your precious silver to craft us some. So what exactly do you think we'll accomplish that Weaver or any of your other Bloodborne can't solve themselves?"

Wolfsbane stared back at Eyries, neither backing down before he looked over the table again, Weaver was covering her face in her hooves, not being able to believe that her friend had just confronted the grand master's direct orders. He looked back at Eyries before responding: "You're correct in that matter, however necrophages are simple enough to deal with should the need arise, a silver weapon isn't a must. I have nothing more to say about the matter at hand, until you've proven that you can be trusted we shan't reveal details that aren't more than a need to know basis."

Eyries was about to open her mouth again when Wolfsbane added: "The matter is not up for discussion, either you do this and earn our trust and a place in our safe haven or you'll have to leave and forget you ever saw this place, the choice is yours." He looked at Eyries, Elinvar and Storm Piercer.

"It's been a long day and I suggest all of you get a good night's rest." Wolfsbane said and everyone started moving towards their assigned quarters, before Ashes and Weaver had a chance to leave he added once the others were out of hear shot: "Ashes, Weaver my office now."

Weaver turned to Ashes with a questioning look on her face. "What's the old goat want now?" She asked sarcastically, gaining a shrug from Ashes. "Come on, let's not leave him waiting." Ashes said and they both moved to Wolfsbane's office.

"You wanted to see us, grandmaster?" Weaver said as she and Ashes stood perfectly still behind Wolfsbane who was looking at something.

"Things are never easy anymore are they.." He mumbled for himself. "Excuse me?" Weaver said, turning once again to Ashes who simply shrugged again. "Fat loada help you are then." She whispered to Ashes. "Ha, always." He chuckled back at her quietly.

Wolfsbane sighed and turned around and threw an insignia on the table. "Recognize that?" He asked them. "Black watcher mage insignia, sir." Ashes responded. "Yes, our scouts found it on a corpse in Black-bend." Wolfsbane sat down in his chair and looked at his two most senior and most trusted warriors, he knew Weaver and Ashes had had a history together back in their training days and he hoped that history would help in the upcoming events.

"Fucking hell, really? Black watchers so close to our borders?" Weaver cursed as she looked back and forth from the insignia to Wolfsbane. "Do we know anything about this mage? Were they alone or working in a group?" Ashes asked.

"That is what I want you two together with the ones that were brought here to find out, be careful and on your watch, we cannot and I can't stress this enough. We cannot aggravate the Black watchers but we cannot allow them to find our sanctuary either, if there's no further questions then you're free to leave."

They stood quietly for a moment before Ashes and Weaver nodded and backed out of the room, once out they both let out a sigh, this had just become a lot more complicated than just a simple clearing out of a necrophage nest. Weaver turned to Ashes and smiled a little. "See you in the morning you horny dog, try and not tire yourself out too much, I know Blossom is quite a cutie but we need her to not walk funny tomorrow."

"What? How did you?" Ashes asked, he didn't think anyone had heard them having sex earlier, not that anyone really cared. They were all pretty loose with each other, some more so than others but privacy was still something to respect.

"haha oh man you have no clue do you?" Weaver laughed as they walked back to their chambers. "Blossom's mouth is as loose as her cunt, she couldn't stop talking about how amazing your rut was when I met her earlier before the dinner. Said she'd be walking funny for the rest of the night, I mean I know you're quite the stud Ashes but damn you really did her good, I'm almost jealous."

Ashes's eye perked up in interest at the compliment. "Yeah? Well I can make you walk funny for the rest of the week if you're that jealous of Blossom." All he gained at the comment was a laugh from Weaver.

"Yeah, I'm not as easy going as Blossom, you're gonna have to work for this pussy mister." She stroked his chin with her tail and gave him a good look at her pussy and then turned around with a seductive face as she lowered her tail to cover her pussy again. If he wanted it he'd have to come and take it, she wasn't going to just let him waltz in like any old stallion, she liked to toy with her partner for the evening before letting them rut her until they either collapsed from exhaustion or they somehow managed to get her to orgasm hard.

She opened the door to her quarters before stretching a little to tease Ashes further, she could already see his stallionhood starting to peak out but he was obviously holding himself back from not falling for her seductiveness. "Well I'll see you in the morning then, try and not fuck too hard tonight~"

She closed the door behind her, silently hoping that Ashes would take initiative and follow up on her teases. She'd been away for so long she'd forgotten how a good hard cock feels like and Ashes had always had the best rod around and he didn't blow his load too quickly either and when he came, he came hard.
She remembered their first night together all those years ago, he had filled her up so good she was still leaking cum two days after, had she not taken the mutagens already by that point she was damn sure she'd probably gotten knocked up by Ashes.

Sometimes their sterility was a downside as full blood bloodborne's would probably be mighty and they could expand themselves further if they could breed, sure there had been experiments to reverse the sterility to allow two bloodborne's to be able to breed and Weaver herself had taken part in some of these experiments but so far she had never been pregnant nor did it look like she ever would or could be.
It bothered her a little sometimes as she'd wanted a foal for sometime to carry on her legacy but she had instead opted for adoption and she was happy nonetheless.

----------------------------------------
In the morning they met up in the courtyard and proceeded towards the town.

"Alright, look for anything suspicious but not attract too much attention. Ask around with the towns people if they've seen or heard anything but be gentle, they're keeping our sanctuary's location secret in return for our help and hospitality and we don't want to change that." Weaver commanded and then they all scattered, except for Ashes. "Time to look for the black watchers." He simply stated, Weaver nodded and they started going through the eerie town, something was wrong for sure.

For one, where were all the town citizens? Sure the town was small but the locals would usually come out to greet the bloodborne's and offer trade goods in return for coin or wanting help with monster infestations, they spotted a drag mark and followed it into a house. Empty except for a corpse that looked charred but on closer examination they noticed something: "Shapeshifter.." They both exclaimed. "So there were no black watchers here in the first place.."

Suddenly Eyries's yelled from outside: "Hey I think I found a cave or something, looks really shifty." Weaver and Ashes joined up with the others and they explored the cave, no doubt this was a mage's laboratory but what was within it didn't belong to any black watchers as far as the bloodborne's knew. Storm Piercer found some notes about a Fiend and how to summon one.

"Shit, we've gotta get back to the sanctuary and warn the others before they summon a Fiend, they can only have one target in mind if they're messing with that kind of magic so close to us.." Weaver said and began rushing back towards the Sanctuary.

Ashes just laughed, before swinging open the door quickly, coming face to face with 'Weaver.

"Little condescending, are we?" asked Ashes, and 'Weaver giggled. He quickly pushed the mare onto the bed, and started his long night of passion.

----------

Ashes' pipe burned slowly, as he looked out the window of 'Weaver's room. There was a light breeze pushing snow about, but already the sanctuary was as busy as ever. Ponies bustled hither and thither, and he could see Blossom trotting with her small group of friends, talking about something that they the other mares all seemed very intersting.

"Huh, I guess 'Weaver wasn't joking," Ashes said, puffing his pipe. "Eh, worth it anyway."

'Weaver came out of her changing room, geared up, before Ashes stood up himself.

"Well, best be on our way. Rather not keep the townsponies waiting. I know how much a pain in the flank these damn Necrophages are," Said Ashes, and 'Weaver nodded.

The two went down to meet the group at the gates, before they set off.

-----------

The group sprinted quickly towards the sanctuary, before a horrid screeching was heard from the sides of the crevice they had been running down. Suddenly, ghouls poured over the sides, surrounding the group.

"Storm, Eyries! Fly back to the sanctuary, warn everypony!" shouted Firefly, and Ashes' draw dropped.

"Who said you were giving the orders!" asked Ashes, and Firefly just glared at him.

"No time to argue!" shouted Firefly, her stump of her horn flaring violently. Suddenly, flames poured out of every orifice of her face, and her claws came out of her spauldings.

"Holy shit!" shouted Elinvar, as Firefly attacked one of the ghouls.

Ashes calmly drew his silver sword, as well as 'Weaver, before getting ready to fight. As soon as the ghouls got close enough, both Bloodborne's released their Igni sign, sending out a swath of flame at their undead opponents. The ghouls screeched, as Ashes and 'Weaver brought death to their foes, slicing them into small slivers of what they once were. Blood poured over the two bloodbornes, as Elinvar used his hammer to smash one of the ghoul's heads in, sending a wave of blood across the group of warriors. After all the enemies had been killed, Firefly's flames retracted.

"Getting good at that Igni sign, Firefly," Said 'Weaver, before Firefly turned around, her eyes filled with hate.

"We have to get back to the camp at once. I hope we aren't too late."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Fluttershy Sat 20 Jun 2015, 20:30

The morning after arriving at the Bloodborn's sanctuary, Elinvar met up with the others in the courtyard and they then proceded to go check out the town.

"Alright, look for anything suspicious but not attract too much attention. Ask around with the towns people if they've seen or heard anything but be gentle, they're keeping our sanctuary's location secret in return for our help and hospitality and we don't want to change that." Weaver ordered the group. Elinvar went from house to empty house to find someone to question, but the town was completely deserted. Eyries called out "Hey I think I found a cave or something, looks really shifty." He abandoned looking in the vacant houses and went over to her. They went into the cave and found potion ingredients covering tables and shelves.

Storm Piercer found some notes on some kind of summons creature, and weaver spoke up "Shit, we've gotta get back to the sanctuary and warn the others before they summon a Fiend, they can only have one target in mind if they're messing with that kind of magic so close to us.."

They sprinted out of the cave and began running to the sanctuary. Suddenly they heard horrid shreiking and they were surrounded by ghouls. Firefly ordered Storm and Eyries to fly back to the sanctuary. "Who said you were giving the orders!" Questioned Ashes. "No time to argue" replied fiefly as she began casting a spell. Soon, her entire body was engulfed in briliant flame and tallons formed at her spauldings.

"Holy shit" shouted Elinvar at the sight of the now flaming alicorn. With hammer in mouth, he turned to face a ghoul, he brought his hammer down upon its head, spraying blood and skull.

Once all the enemies were slain, Firefly retracted her flames and they once again sprinted to the scanctuary.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Wed 24 Jun 2015, 00:21

Eyries and Storm Piercer were flying as fast as they could back towards the Sanctuary, whatever Weaver, Ashes and Firefly had gotten so worked up about it was probably bad, really bad. They didn't know HOW bad until they arrived at the Sanctuary, blood and guts were covering the walls and the courtyard and ponies were dragging their dead comrades away so they could later be identified and given a proper burial.

"Holy buck, what on earth happened here?" Storm Piercer said to herself as she and Eyries were looking over the scene.

"I don't know nor do I think we WANT to know, come on let's try and find Wolfsbane." Eyries said and started toward the ground. "Right." Storm Piercer said to herself and launched after Eyries both of them landing in the middle of the courtyard.

After walking around a little bit trying to identify anyone to ask about Wolfsbane they saw the Bloodborne's healer pony, Lilac tending to some wounded. They walked up to her as she was muttering spells to close wounds or ease the pain of some of the apprentices, when they neared her she stopped what she was doing and looked at them.

"Where's the rest? Where's Ashes, Weaver, Firefly and that adorable little blacksmith pony you were with? Don't tell me anything bad happened?!" Lilac got up to Eyries's face and Eyries had to shove her back a little. "Calm down, we're fine, they should be fine too. Just ran into some small ghouls and Firefly sent us to warn about an incoming attack so if you'd be so kind as to point us to where Wolfsbane is-"

"An incoming attack?!" Lilac shouted, interrupting Eyries. " 'fraid you're a tad bit late for that, black watcher troops teleported into the courtyard and started striking down anyone within range before we could react-" Lilac got caught off by a maniacal laughter coming from atop one of the walls.

"I see that you enjoy our appetizer, however we are far from done with you, the main course for tonight is being served with a dash of DEATH with it, ahahaha. See us black watcher mages have been busy at work and now you shall be the first to see and feel it head on, enjoy a fully grown Fiend. Even an professionally trained army would need a thousand ponies to bring this beast down."

The mage atop the wall suddenly created a huge portal and out of it jumped a furious looking beast, at least 3-4 times the size of a pony, it's roar was enough to send some of the smaller framed stallions and mares flying, Lilac almost lost her balance as well but Eyries grabbed her and spread out her wings to combat the fierce winds of the roar.

As the beast's roar died out Eyries had just enough time to see it charging head first into a group of bloodbornes and impaling them on top of it's razor sharp crown before mashing them into a pulp as it ran straight into a wall and then shook it's head to get rid of the corpses which sent the dead ponies flying across the courtyard.

"Shit, Lilac, get Wolfsbane. We'll try and hold it off until the others come back, take as many younglings with you as you can, get them into safety. I may not be a Bloodborne but even I can see this is a fight for the veterans, now GO!" Eyries yelled at Lilac who nodded at her and then amplified her voice with a spell.

"Anyone who has not completed their training or graduated within the last 10 years are to come with me! No objections! Leave this fight for those more skilled than you and live to fight another day!" Lilac ran as she summoned up a magic sign so everypony knew where she was.

Suddenly a gruff voice was heard with the same amplified voice. "This is the grandmaster speaking, anyone who doesn't do as Lilac says will face possible exile, veterans gather 'round me, this fight won't be easy!"

Meanwhile not too far from the sanctuary.

"I hope we're not too late, I can hear some yelling." 'Weaver said as they were flying as fast as they could without leaving Elinvar behind.

"We'd get there faster if we didn't need to carry around on this fat slob." Firefly angrily hashed out, Elinvar was about to object but Weaver hushed him down. "She's in a bad mood, she didn't mean it literally, just don't argue or she might kill you too."

As they came upon the Sanctuary they saw the Fiend rushing towards Wolfsbane and his gathered Bloodborne that were protecting Lilac so she had time to escape. Firefly erupted in flames again as she summoned her claws and dove down towards the beast, hitting it straight in the back of the neck but was quickly flung off.

Ashes and Weaver joined the fray after putting Elinvar down, Weaver had told him about some old cannons in the armory that he could try and roll out and fire at the Fiend.

Weaver and Ashes pulled out their silver blades and went after the Fiend, Eyries was already chipping away at it with her zweihander but she only managed to cause minor wounds, steel swords weren't the most effective against monsters.

"We have to try and hit it in the back, it's the most vulnerable there!" Weaver yelled at Eyries, she looked back at Weaver before going "You mean this bucking thing takes less damage in the head than it does if I shove my sword up it's arse?" Weaver having no time to argue just responded with: "It's thick crown makes it's head harder to hit and if you're lucky enough to hit a vein in the neck it'll just fuel it's rage even more, the key to killing a fiend is to attack it from the back and then the sides to make it bleed out and lose strength to move."

After an hour of fighting The Fiend it finally laid down on the ground and accepted it's death as Wolfsbane decapitated it.

After the fight was over they gathered up the dead of which there were many and Lilac came out with the rest who had hid inside the keep.

Firefly, Ashes, Weaver and Eyries were sitting down catching their breaths and tending to any wounds they had, Wolfsbane came over to them with a less than happy look on his face.

"Lilac told me that you had found something and wanted to warn of an attack, I'm guessing you found something in the town?" He asked a bit solemnly.

Weaver stood up with shaky legs, her energy nearly all drained from that fight. "We found a cave where some acolytes had been experimenting with summoning in various monsters and found some notes that their master was planning to summon in an adult Fiend on the Sanctuary and disguise it as an Black Watcher attack."

"Hmm that is disturbing, what of the villagers? Did they help or what has happened to them?" Wolfsbane asked. "Dead or monster food, village was abandoned when we got there and we found some skeletons in the cave." Ashes said.

Suddenly there was some commotion in the courtyard.

"We demand retribution for our fallen brethren and sisters! The Black watchers openly attacked us showing no regard to our neutrality in conflicts, I say we return that favour to them!" One of the more daring younger Bloodborne's yelled out, getting cheers from the crowd.

Wolfsbane turned around and walked to the gathered crowd with Firefly, Ashes, Weaver and Eyries on his tail.

"You fools! Do you really think the Black watchers would be so stupid?! We have proof this was a rogue group of mages operating under none of the factions, THINK before you talk boy or I will have you gutted for insubordination and risking our neutrality!" Wolfsbane said with a commanding tone, some of the ponies in the crowd looked down at the ground in shame but the riler was not so easily defeated.

"So what do you propose we do to avenge our fallen brothers and sisters? What if it had been Firefly lying dead now, would your tone be different then?" He walked over and looked Wolfsbane right into the eyes, eyes that were burning with fury and what he was about to say next would not be pleasant for the young Bloodborne.

Before Wolfsbane could reply, Ashes pushed forward, his eyes filled with anger.

"How dare you speak to the grandmaster like that," snarled Ashes, blood still rolling down his face from his battle. "Wolfsbane has seen more deaths in his life than you have seen ponies! You know nothing of loss!"

Everyone was taken aback by Ashes unusual lash out towards the young bloodborne. The younger bloodborne just smirked, proud that he had angered the veteran bloodborne. Ashes turned back, walking behind Wolfsbane to allow the grandmaster to correct the welp.

"And what do you know of loss, Ashes?" Asked the younger bloodborne. Even Wolfsbane recoiled at the question. 'Weaver quickly face palmed, and a few other veteran bloodbornes took in steep breathes. "You've had a rather effortless life as a Bloodborne, haven't you?"

Ashes simply breathed out, before turning back. "Every student I've had -graduated, or not- has met an untimely end. I watched my own home burn to a crisp nearly a hundred years ago, and it still haunts me. Almost all of my classmates have died horrific deaths that I see every day when I close my eyes to sleep. Those I have loved: They passed before I have. I've watched cities and towns burn to the ground, watched entire races of ponies fall, families butchered in front of one another. And what have you done, welp? If you are truly a bloodborne, then you will learn that this is not loss: this is an easy day in a time of peace. Bloodbornes put their lives on the line day in, and day out, and are never appreciated for it: Learn that retaliation is not always an option."

Wolfsbane watched as Ashes walked away, and nodded his head to tell 'Weaver to follow him. He then turned back to the young Bloodborne, and switched him across the face, leaving a large red mark.

"Family is important, but Bloodborne's must keep their heads about them, even in a time of deep pain. Never raise your voice to me, you insolent shit!" He then switched him again with his other hoof. "If it had been my daughter, I would have been as upset as you, but this was not the doing of the black watchers! They're not so stupid to attack the only thing inbetween them and the monsters on the other side of the mountains! You are hereby sentenced to thirty days in the hold, no excuses!"

"Master, please, show mercy: He is angry," Said Lilac "Those who have fallen were dear to him. Do not punish him for his emotions: He's barely a stallion."

"Fine. You are free to go, but I have my eye on you," Said Wolfsbane, before he turned around to see his daughter over the dead body of a veteran. Her name was Mirage, a bloodborne of almost 50 years. She had seen her fair share of fights, judging from the scars that scattered her now lifeless body.

"We should have killed them all," said Firefly angrily. "All of our evidence points towards the Black Watchers!"

"No, it points towards shape shifters, framing the black watchers," said Wolfsbane, and Firefly shook her head, tears in her eye.

"The Black Watchers are smart! They know how to deflect blame!" she screamed, before flying off into her tower.

"Goodness... We have to be more prepared next time..."

-----------------------

"I'm sorry he said those things, Ashes," Said 'Weaver and Ashes shrugged it off, sighing.

"I know we're supposed to learn the pain of loss, but still..." Ashes said, sharping his blade. The day had grown into the evening, and Ashes was finally comfortable enough to talk about the events of the day. In a few moments, they were to have a briefing on what the priests had found about the powders and different experiments they had found within the town. They had all cleaned up well, but Ashes had a new scar from the battle: a long slice running from his mane-line to the side of his jaw, courtesy of the fiend.

Suddenly, there was a rapping on the door, and Lilac swung the door wide open, her eyes filled with panic.

"They're gone!" she yelled, and Ashes stood up.

"Oh shit, the young ones? Where?" asked Ashes, and she pointed out the window, showing a small number of torches moving down the canyon, towards the city of Obsidian, perched miles below.

"Fucking hell!" Shouted 'Weaver, as the duo rushed towards the meeting room.

They entered the room, and realized that everypony was already there, except Firefly.

"We're aware of the situation: We're dispatching you and your outsiders to get them," Said Wolfsbane, when Piercer suddenly spoke up.

"Why the hell do we have to go? They're your problem!" She shouted, and Ashes face palmed.

"This is your final trial: If you show valiance, and bring our students back - and my daughter - we won't throw you to the outside forces. Does that sound fair?"

The outsiders nodded their heads, and Ashes grabbed his blades, strapping them on. "Fiends, rebellions, whats next, a dragon?"

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

"What's next? A dragon?" Ashes said, 'Weaver looked over to him with a serious look on her face. "Don't say that, now you've probably jinxed it for all we know." Ashes stared back at her and laughed; "You know dragons haven't roamed anywhere near here for centuries? When was the last time we fought a dragon, hmm Weaver?"

She stopped what she was doing to think back, think back quite a few years.. "Uhhh.. Probably around the time when we had a serious relationship going and you decided you'd hunt down a dragon and make me necklace from it's talons?" Weaver said and tilted her head sideways as she grinned at Ashes beet red face. He recalled the story perfectly well, it hadn't ended very well, sure he'd managed to track down the dragon but he was still just a young lad in training and the dragon nearly killed him.

"And if I recall you were worried sick about me and when I showed back up with just a half chipped off talon and plenty of wounds you almost fainted." Ashes retaliated, wiping Weavers grin off her face as her face now turned beet red instead while Ashes just chuckled. "Y'know I could never resist your charm, Weaver but we've gotta track down those young ones before it's too late and every minute we spend reminiscing they get closer to screwing up our entire neutrality."

Weaver nodded in agreement and helped Ashes finishing strapping on his swords before he helped her in return, they met up with a not so amused looking bunch. Eyries, Storm Piercer and Elinvar really didn't have anything to do with this but they were all outlaws and neither Weaver nor Ashes dared go against Wolfsbane's decision on this matter.

They marched on as fast as they could, sure those who could fly could have intercepted the group but they would be outnumbered 3 to 1 so it was safer to try and arrive together as a group to stop them.

Suddenly there was a loud roar and a dragon, huge as a castle came flying past them, ignoring them just about but it had it's sights locked onto the deserters as it dove down and snapped at them off in the distance before it managed to grab somepony in its razor sharp teeth filled mouth and lifted off again.

"What was that about no dragons you were saying earlier?" Weaver commented, Ashes looking very much not amused by the remark. "Oh hush you, we need to hurry before it comes back for more.." Ashes said as they all double timed it but by the time they arrived at the scene no pony was left.

"Where'd they go?" Elinvar asked confused; "Did the dragon get them all?"

Weaver and Ashes examined the scene and quickly found a trail.. "Those dumbasses decided to go after the god damned dragon." Eyries read their facial expressions and said what had just occurred to the Bloodbornes. "THEY DID WHAT?!" Storm Piercer burst out, nearly popping a vein in her face. "You do not seriously expect US to go after THAT, do you?!" She looked back and forth between Weaver and Ashes hoping that one of them would burst out laughing saying it was all a joke but alas.

"I'm afraid we have to go after them and we'll need any help we can get to kill this dragon, judging by it's size it must have lived for very long and it's lair can't be far from here." Weaver said sternly as Storm Piercer started cursing for herself silently as they began to follow the trail.

Ashes looked at the trail, and sighed, as it lead farther into the mountain passages. One one hoof, this was a good thing, because it led away from the Black Watcher's city. On another hand, he knew that he would be finding loads of bodies upon the path, as the biting cold could kill even the most elite bloodbornes if they were not careful.

"Shit... We'll have to pursue. 'Weaver, do we have a stash of cloaks anywhere near here?" asked Ashes, and she nodded.

"Just through the passage way: None of the initiates know about it, so they should still be there," Said 'Weaver, and Ashes nodded.

"Prepare yourselves: all of you. We're going into no-ponies land."

----------------------

The roar of the dragon could be heard, as the wind bellowed around 5 cloaked figures, black dots in the snowy landscape. Even though winter was passing into spring, the eternal winter of the No Ponies land was as bitter as ever, and just as dangerous.

"Stick together! It's easier to get lost out here than you'd think!" shouted Ashes. "At least for you! We can get back to the sanctuary, you'd freeze before you got a bearing of the place!"

"Right!" shouted Storm, when suddenly, a creature came swooping down from above, landing in front of the group. It was an elder dragon, thousands of years old, and it was angry.

"You...." it growled, looking deep into the eyes of the ponies.

"Fucking shit," Said 'Weaver, and Ashes stepped forward, and knelt.

"Good day, Dragon. I am Ashes of Wheatshire, a Bloodborne. What angers you today?"

"I was making my way to the northernlands, when you're fucking whelps attacked me."

"Shit..."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Sun 26 Jul 2015, 04:30

"I thought you.. "Bloodbornes" were honourable ponies, a code of honour to follow and us dragons respect that. Now I find myself attacked by your whelps and I'm in half a mood to just rip you apart and be done with it but since Night Weaver here saved one of our young'uns a long time ago I'm willing to listen."

The dragon snorted a bit of fire and melted some snow as he stared down the ponies.

"We-" Ashes began but 'Weaver stopped him. "Let me take care of this, trust me." She turned towards the dragon. "Look, I'm not gonna beat around the bush here, someone attacked us at our sanctuary and they summoned in a bucking FIEND!"

The dragon raised a claw to his chin, clearly interested in this story. "A fiend you say? Those things are quite lethal even for a full grown dragon, I'd be intrigued to know how you managed to survive it."

"Look we're not here to small talk, the guys that attacked us killed a lot of our brothers and sisters and some of the younger ones.." 'Weaver stopped for a second before continuing. "As well as onewhoreallyshouldknowbetter" She said through clenched teeth. "Thought it'd be a good idea to go storming off and try get some revenge on the Blackwatcher whom the attackers claimed to be but there's no way they were behind it!"

"What I think she's trying to say is that their people didn't mean to attack you and they might've just taken out their grief and anger on anything and everything right now." Storm butted in quickly.

The dragon looked lost in thought for a moment. "Hmm I do not recall having seen any other ponies marching or moving past here recently so what you're saying sounds credible.. Yet that doesn't excuse that your kind attacked me but I am an honourable creature and I didn't kill any of your kin."

"Then who did? We found a blood trail and bodies on the way up here." Ashes asked the dragon. "This mountain is not mine, as I said, I was making my way north when I got attacked and all I did was roar and swoop down to try and scare them away but they started following me so I lost them in the mountains here. The rest you know, I saw your group and thought you were here to hunt me down but you are actually after your young'uns."

The dragon looked up towards the mountains and sighed. "I'm afraid your kin might be dead, the dragon that lives here.. Let's just say that even us dragons avoid him. He's brutal and hates ponies with a burning passion and worst of all he lived during the times when dragons were being hunted and he's repaying that for the rest of his life. Those that didn't die of the cold are most certainly dead now, just leave and turn back, tell your master your kin is dead and leave him alone if you know what's best for you."

The dragon bowed low and bid them farewell as he flew off again.

"Well quests over, let's go back, it's bucking cold out here." Eyries's said, Storm and Elinvar agreed. Ashes and Weaver exchanged looks. "Awh shit I know that look, we're gonna hunt down that dragon aren't we?" Eyries said, both Ashes and Weaver answered in unison: "Yes."

"Firefly is a fighter and she's a tough bitch, if anyone can take down a 10000 year old dragon it's her.. After all.. She's special.." Weaver trailed off a bit, not really wanting to go into further detail.

Meanwhile a few miles further up the mountain Firefly's fighting the elder dragon with all her fury and rage.

"YOU KILLED MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! I'M GONNA KILL YOU AND RIP YOUR SKIN OFF YOUR SPINE AND WEAR IT AS A CLOAK AND MAKE JEWELS OUT OF YOUR EYES!"

The elder dragon laughed as Firefly sprouted flames from around her weapons and it seemed like she was breathing fire.

"Hahahaha, good show little pony but how about I show you some REAL flame!" The elder dragon inhaled and then exhaled red hot fire that enveloped Firefly, fire that should've burnt her to a crisp but somehow she seemed to only get fueled by the flames as she lunged at the elder dragon through the flames and struck it in the throat, managing to chip off some scales.

"argh, you bitch! I'm gonna kill you slowly before I eat you!" The elder dragon taunted Firefly as she went into a maniacal laughter.

"Do YOU even know who you're up against? I'll be eating you for dinner tonight." Firefly smirked as she went in for another attack.

A few miles down south on the mountain the group is following a trail of bodies, some torn to bits and some were burnt to crisps.

"I think we're getting close." Ashes said, observing another victim. "We should hurry."

Some hour or so later..

"I hear fighting up ahead, let's go!" Weaver shouted over the snowstorm that was beginning to pick up strength.

When they got to the cave where the fighting was coming from the noise died down and Firefly was standing, bleeding and panting over the corpse of the elder dragon as she spat it in the eyes and ripped out it's eyes.

"Who's the bitch now?!" She turned and saw, Ashes, Weaver and co in the entrance to the cave, a snowstorm raging on outside and she only said one word as she looked at Ashes and Weaver's expressions. "Buck."

"Yeah that's right, Firefly, you're in deep shit and your father is pissed at you for running off with the young ones and now there's a BUCKING snowstorm raging on outside, you really know how to get under my skin but god are you amazing." Weaver said.

"HA!" Firefly laughed at Weaver's comment. "Now how about we rip this bucker open and feast on his flesh tonight? We're not going anywhere until the snowstorm subsides."

"The gods be damned, I hate to admit it but the gal's right. If we go back out there we're as good as dead, you bloodborne's know magic so one of you make us a goddamned fire before I throw one of you out into the storm to find a tree." Eyries commented, everypony agreed and they went about making a fire for the night.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Wed 29 Jul 2015, 12:49

Ashes hadn't said a word to Firefly, instead inspecting one of the dead ponies on the ground. She was frozen in a state of fear, her eyes wide. He recognized the filly, a young pony by the name of Holly Tree. She was not cut out to be a fighter, but instead of a healer. How on earth was he going to tell Lilac?

As the ponies settled down for dinner, Ashes did not join them, instead opting to bring in the bodies close to the mouth of the cave inside. He had dealt with some cold in his life, but this was nothing like he had ever experienced. The bodies of the fallen, even the ones burned by dragon fire, had already frozen solid, and if Ashes wasn't careful, he would end up breaking off a limb or such. After he finished his task, the other ponies were finished with their meal.

"Ashes! Why don't you have some dragon?" asked Storm, smiling. Ashes just shook his head, his new scar glistening in the fire light.

"Oh, why are you such a grump, old man?" asked Firefly, and Ashes approached her.

"Because we have lost more ponies in one day than we have in the past 20 years, Firefly. And many of them are because of you," Ashes said. The room went quiet, only the sound of the crackling fire could be heard.

"They chose to follow."

"Yet you still led them to their death. Despicable," Ashes said, his mouth curling up into a snarl.

"But I'm still here, right?" Firefly laughed half-heartedly.

"Do you think you're worth the lives of 20 ponies?" Asked Ashes.

"Obviously, I'm an alicorn!" She scoffed and Ashes slapped her, knocking her backwards.

"You think just because you are of a higher race, you are worth more than those who have fallen!" Screamed Ashes. "I know hundreds of Earthponies that are ten times worth your salt!"

"Oh, and how is that? How does a fuckin' mudborn trump a alicorn? I can do magic, and fly! My wounds heal within minutes, not days!" Screamed back Firefly, flames slowly building up in her eyes.

"You're but a whelp! Your powers are special, but I've never seen you lift giants from the ground, hoof fight a minotaur and win, or take a beating that would kill even a Bloodborne, and still stand up and kill their enemy! You're filth!" Snarled Ashes, before backing away. "I'll make sure you never graduate. You are a disgrace to our kind, and I'm ashamed to call you a student."

Everypone just looked at one another, 'Weaver's mouth wide open, staring at Ashes. He had known to be cruel, but never had he insulted somepony like that.

Suddenly, Firefly screeched, flames sprouting from her mouth and eyes, before charging Ashes. Ashes simply lifted his hoof, and uttered a single world.

"Aard.

A blast came from his hoof, sending Firefly soaring into the wall, an audible crunch being sounded from Firefly's limp body.

"You killed her!" shouted Eyries, and Ashes simply smiled.

"No, I simply broke nearly every bone in her body. By the morning she'll be fine, but she'll be tired as hell," Ashes said, before walking over to the knocked out Firefly. "Next time, you won't be so lucky."

--------------------

Flames from the Sun-Bearer's side collided with the blasts of water from the Water Wing's, as the two nations clashed in brutal battle. Solaris watched from afar, from her siege tower, drinking a cup of tea, while the Water Wing's Commander, Aqua, fought on the front lines, and was tearing apart the Sun Bearer's front lines with brutality not yet seen by the young princess. Solaris simply smiled to herself.

"I will love killing this bitch. She'll be easy. Can you please bring me the giant?" asked Solaris, and her workers scurried off, before bring back a giant bipedal creature.

He stood twice as tall as Solaris, which would mean three times as tall as your average pony. His face was a botched mess, covered in stitches, with only one eye, his mouth pulled into a psychotic grin. In his hand was a massive blade, carved from a dragon tooth.

"Reaper, would you be a dear, and go and murder that whore?" asked Solaris, and the giant just groaned, before walking off. "Oh that poor little girl, shes going to feel more pain than shes ever experienced in her life."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Tue 04 Aug 2015, 03:41

The next morning the snowstorm had subsided enough for the group to be able to make it down the mountain without getting lost. Aside from the bloodborne's the mood was generally good, Eyries, Storm and Elinvar were chatting along behind Ashes, Night Weaver and Firefly.

Firefly was in less than a pleasant mood, having woken up with aches all over her body as well feeling completely drained from using her powers so much and having to heal all her bones after Ashes knocked her unconscious.

'Weaver on the other didn't quite know what she'd do in this situation, she knew from previous experience that when Ashes was in this kind of mood it was just better to leave him alone and Firefly.. Well she's probably pissed off to all ends of hell and back.

Suddenly Firefly said a bit half arsed: "I don't know what you see in him, 'Weaver. Why is he so special? He's just like any other stallion in our clan, he's got a cock and balls and shoots semen like any other and yet you, my father and everyone finds him so special.."

'Weaver looked at Firefly and then back at Ashe's backside, she had once held that stallion very close to her heart but why? Why had she fallen in love with Ashes when they were young.. She didn't quite know how to answer.. "I.. Well for one he and I have seen a lot of things over the years. Your father holds us both and you in high regard because we're his best fighters and warriors, we've been loyal to him over the centuries. But as for why Ashes is so special, well he managed to knock you didn't he?"

Firefly just snorted in reply and went back to her moping, 'Weaver was the older mare of the two but she felt like Firefly was almost but a child still even though she merely a few decades younger than her.

They got back to the Sanctuary that had now been cleaned up and repairs started, Eyries, Storm and Elinvar remained in the courtyard while Ashes, Weaver and Firefly went up to Wolfsbane's quarters. They knocked on his door and after a little bit of a delay Wolfsbane's voice came through: "You may enter."

They found Wolfsbane sitting in his chair behind his desk, he looked up at the trio, stood up and sighed. "Ashes, Weaver I need you two to take your companions to the Black watcher city, see if you can't find out anything about the attack and remind their ruler we're not assassins for hire even if we share borders."

Ashes and Weaver nodded and bowed out, as the doors closed they heard Wolfsbane starting to yell at Firefly. "YOU MAY BE MY DAUGHTER BUT THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU CAN EXCUSE TO GO AND BEHAVE LIKE A LITTLE FILLY!" They decided to quickly leave before things got awkward.

"So how'd it go?" Eyries's asked as she saw Ashes and Weaver come back down. "We're heading to the black watcher city to see if we can't find any clues to the attack there, we could use all of your help but if you want to stay here that's fine." 'Weaver said.

"You know me, Weaver, I'll stick by you 'til the end." Eyries replied. "You guys get results and you could always use another skilled fighter, count me in." Storm said, it was down to Elinvar who was looking unsure. "So what about you Elinvar?" 'Weaver asked and they all looked at him. "I.. You guys are the warriors here, I'm just a blacksmith, I'd just be in the way over there. I think I would be of more use back here, help with the repairs and make sure your beds are warm when you come back."

"Well that settles that then." Ashes said, "Me, Weaver, Eyries and Storm will head to the Black watcher city. I respect your choice Elinvar and I think you're a wise stallion to know where you're of most use." They all hugged Elinvar as he wished them good luck on their journey before they all left for the Black watcher city.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Princess Blueblood Tue 04 Aug 2015, 20:59

They left behind the sanctuary, looking off into the distance. Suddenly, a pony came flying up the mountain side, exhausted. He landed in front of the group, panting, before he started talking. Ashes recognized the pony as River Runner, one of the couriers.

"Catch your breath child," Ashes said, patting the stallion on the shoulder. "What happened?"

"Water Wing forces just mauled the Sun Bearers in the first battle!" He shouted. "They have a fucking barbarian!"

"Barbarian? Oh no," Ashes said, turning to 'Weaver. "I bet 100 gold bits that its him."

"I'll raise you to a thousand."

--------

The giant approached the front lines of the Sun Bearer, pushing past the gold cloaked spear-ponies, until he saw Aqua in his field of vision.

"I see the coward queen brings her abomination to the front lines!" Screamed Aqua, as Reaper approached. He groaned, lifting one of his massive Scimitars above his head, preparing to charge Aqua. "I have my own giant to fight this disgusting creature!"

Reaper groaned and looked in the distance, as he saw a massive, hulking pony approach Reaper, his face hidden behind a copper mask, depicting a wide-eyed, bearded pony, its mouth wide open.

"Nooo..." Reaper gutterally growled, as he realized what was approaching.

The massive pony's armor didn't match his allies: It was massive and gold, made of plate and chain and leather. In his magic grip was a giant sword that no-pony - not even a unicorn - could handle properly, if they were normal.

"Well, what is it?" asked the Massive pony, jumping onto its hind legs. "Are you good yet?"

"Nooo..." Reaper replied, before charging towards the massive pony.

"Time to see what you're made of, Giant!" shouted the other pony, raising the massive blade into the air.

------------

"There it is - Obsidian," Said Ashes, looking out across the giant, black city. Situated right on the edge of a plateau, Obsidian saw the entire lowlands that made up Equestria. It's main tower punched into the sky, surrounded by unsupported rings, a monument to the most magical place in Equestria.

"Now, since none of us are mages, we're going to get a big cold shoulder here," 'Weaver said, looking into the city. "We might not, but when they see that Water Wing armour, don't be suprised if they won't even look at you."

"Oh, I'll be fine," Said Storm, moving behind Ashes. "I'll just hide behind Mr. I-can-kill-ponies with my voice."

"That was a spell, I actually had to use magic for that. Next thing I know, you'll be saying I'm part dragon, destined to slay them all, and have to go and visit a bunch of hermits on top of a mountain to hone my voice spells or whatever," Said Ashes. The rest of the group looked at him funny. "Sorry, read it in a really, really shitty book once."

"O-kay," Eyries said, before looking down into the city. "Where are we going?"

"Giant spire," Said Ashes, sighing. "It's going to be great fun meeting Galaxia again. You know how she likes to deal with us personally."

"Oh, wonderful, that bitch," Said 'Weaver, and Ashes nodded.

"Alright, lets get down there."

-------------------------------------

"What the fuck do you mean we can't see her!" Shouted Eyries, before Ashes pulled her back.

"You have that Water-Wing whore with you, we're at war with the bastards," Said the guard, his black cloak covering his face, only revealing his eyes, which were glowing red. Every single guard here was genetically breed: While expensive, they were easily the most effective Warrior-mages in the land. Even a Bloodborne would find fighting more than one a challenge.

"This is official Bloodborne business," Said Ashes, and the guard shook his head.

"I already told you to fuck off," Said the guard, and Ashes backed up, his eyes filled with anger.

"You really don't want to piss me off," Said Ashes, and the guard scoffed.

"And then what're you going to do, kill us all? You're in the capital of the most well guarded city in Equestria: You're threats don't mean shit," Said the guard. "Now fuck off before I get my boys to turn you into dust."

Ashes walked away, and led the group into a small plaza, where they sat for tea. "Those fuckwads are always giving us a hard time, and now they know our face. We need a way to get in..."

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

Post by Cloudchaser Sat 08 Aug 2015, 04:07

After Netari had been picked up on the streets she had devoted herself to learning the arts of being a spy, throughout the years her servitude under her king or queen, whomever the gods had chosen to inhabit and rule with, had been spotless.

She was loyal to her country and gods, eventually she'd risen to be the right hoof advisor to her queen and by the time conflict broke out in Equestria which they had very good relations with, she found herself questioning the world and when she met Queen Faust and her twin daughters.

She knew then that there was a true goddess, one with immense magical power and a powerful aura, more powerful than any of the high priests, priestesses or even the queen herself.

Netari eventually resigned from her post and pledged herself fully to helping and protecting Queen Faust and her daughters, as the houses of Equestria slid apart and started warmongering between each other, Queen Faust felt that something more was behind it all, something sinister..

She took her daughters and sought up the aid of Netari and with her help they'd get to the bottom of this, before her mission she was given a pair of bronze swords forged in the style of her people but magically enchanted to always stay sharp and never break.

Netari's journey took her around the world of Equestria, gathering information and even managing to get audiences with the house rulers even when they refused visitors, not that they were very happy for the intrusion but they all admired her skills for stealth, getting in where you're not supposed to be or finding the secret passages in the castles that only the house ruler knew of.

Her journey eventually took her to the black watchers land where Queen Galaxia ruled, kind to those that served her self interest in making sure her people had it well but she and her people were known outside their borders as cold and deceptive, a false rumour that stemmed from the fact that the black watchers don't generally like outsiders.

Those that have ventured outside their borders for mercenary work hasn't been the best representatives of their kind.

The best part of standing out from the crowd was that no one paid her any mind, it'd be too unlikely for her to be a spy, especially a mare like her being an earth pony with no magic or wings.

Ponies generally thought her to be a tourist or ambassador and thus she managed to come and go as she pleased, she could even listen in on conversations without anyone suspecting her to be listening to vital clues or watching their body language.

While scouting around in town she saw a group of very odd composition of creatures, two bloodborne's armed to their usual standard, an hippogriff with quite a lot of weapons too and to top things off a water wing pegasus.. They had come from the direction of Galaxia's palace which was commonly known as "The Spire".

"Well that went well didn't it?" The water wing pony said to the group, the hippogriff scoffed in return before commenting on the fact that had they not brought her along they would have gotten in without any problems. "Knock it off you two, bickering won't help us getting an audience with the Queen." One of the bloodborne's told the other two off.

"Hmm, dey need an audience with the Queen too.. Dey are quite a rag tag group of ponies and hippogriff, I wonder if dey could be of use.. I shall follow dem and see what I can find out." Netari thought to herself as she kept pretending to be tourist while still keeping the group within hearing distance.

A while later the hippogriff pointed out that someone had been following them: "Uhm.. Are you guys aware of that earth pony back there" Eyries's said and pointed a thumb over her shoulder. "Has been following us for quite a while now, right?"

"Yes, that would be Netari, infamous spymaster of the egyptian ponies." Ashes and Weaver pointed out. Netari was caught by surprise by the fact that they were aware of her, more so that they knew who she was.. She trotted up to the group and as the bloodborne's turned around she realized why she'd been recognized.

"Aha, Ashes and Night Weaver! No wonder I was recognized den, I believe we've met during yours travels on de trail and with you two being centuries old.. It's only logical you'd recognize me." Netari spoke with her egyptian equestrian accent.

"That's of no importance now, if you're here then it must mean you're trying to find out what's behind the conflicts too? Being centuries old does mean you pick up on a thing or two and your expression right now tells me I was right." 'Weaver said with a smile on her face. "I think we've just found our way into Galaxia's palace, guys." 'Weaver continued, Eyries and Storm looked at her with confusion.

"I overheard some palace guards that were off duty talking about a hidden passage that Galaxia's just ordered to be walled up so no one could sneak into her throne room and assassinate her, I was about to head over there myself. Although showing up fully armed like that is probably not a good idea." Netari said and pointed to Eyries's maxed out arsenal which annoyed the hippogriff.

"It's not exactly like I can just leave all this stuff here now can I?" Eyries walked up in front of Netari and looked down at her.

"Actually you can, I've been scouting out dis town all day and I can with utmost certainty say that no pony will ever think of looking in that trash container over there." Netari said and pointed at a green rusty trash container.

"It's not been touched for the entire day and the garbage collectors cleaned it out yesterday and only come around once a week. Plus the black watchers are in generally a pretty wealthy people and they wouldn't rummage through trash, if someone happens to come to throw the trash they do it quickly and then leave without making sure if the garbage bag even landed inside, they're pretty picky on their cleanliness here too."

Eyries stood there mouth agape and just stared blankly back and forth, trying to put together two and two. "How..?" She began but was interrupted by 'Weaver. "Leave it Eyries, she's way smarter than you are and she knows her stuff when it comes to hiding spots, she wouldn't have recommended it if she wasn't entirely sure about it, that's how she works. Clean and precise but not afraid to get her hooves dirty when the need calls for it."

Eyries looked back and forth between Weaver and Netari, trying to make up her mind on if she should feel insulted by what Weaver said or not, eventually she gave up and sighed. "Fine, fine, I'll hide them away under the trash but if they're not here when we get back I'm holding you two responsible for this just so you know." Eyries said as she unloaded her guns and avelynn crossbow. "There. Happy now?" She said and Netari nodded as she began to lead the way to the hole in the wall.

Sometime later after having made sure no one saw them enter they found themselves starting to hear voices in the distance and eventually they pushed aside a statue and entered the courtroom where some black watch ponies were talking to the Queen.

"Your most graceful highness.." They began before Galaxia interrupted them. "YOU?! I thought I told my guards not to let you in, who is responsible for this?" The ponies that were kneeling in front of her looked up at her in confusion, thinking she yelled at them. "your highness, we.." She interrupted them again. "No, not you!" She rose up and walked past the ponies that had the actual audience with her. "Ashes and Night Weaver, how pleasant to see you again.. If I may ask, how did you.. Oh I see." Galaxia's mind connected the dots when she saw Netari.

"Well then, you've made the trouble to find me so the least I can do is hear you out then. They don't call me the most generous Queen in all of Equestria for nothing but you better talk fast while I'm in a good mood and feeling kind." She said as she walked back to her throne, her black elegant dress flowing behind her as she sat down on her throne once more.

The War for Equestria Empty Re: The War for Equestria

"Did you send out some mages that haven't come back recently?" asked Ashes, and Galaxia nodded.

"Indeed. Why, did you kill them?" asked Galaxia, her eyes narrowing.

"No, but something did," Ashes said, throwing the tapestry of the Black-Watcher cape in front of the Queen.

She lifted the cape with her magic, her glowing eyes studying the cloth. She simply sighed, and lowered it.

"I had a feeling there was something else going on. Any idea what it is?" Asked the Queen.

"We were hoping that you could tell us," Ashes said, and the Queen shook her head, but not before she thought for a moment.

"We're so busy trying to support the Sun-Bearers, we have no time for our own exploits," Said Galaxia, but then her eyes perked up. "Perhaps we can point you in the right direction? Solaris is angry about her loss against the Water Wings, so shes asking us to send as many troops as we can to help her fight again, but perhaps we can send a detour. Our scholars have said there is a dark power darkness growing in the midlands in between the Water Wings and the Iron Manes, so we wanted to send some of our best scouts to investigate it. If you're up for a little adventure, which I know these two yellow-eyed's love to do,"

Ashes looked at the rest of the group, and Storm walked forward. "What route would we be taking?"

"The Iron coast. Believe it or not, its still frozen, even though spring is well on its way, so a boat is out of the question. Since the energy is based in the bad lands, it'll be a covert operation, and you'll be making enemies out of the Iron-Manes," Said Galaxia.

"Great, well, it wouldn't be the first time a queen would want our head," Said 'Weaver, and Galaxia nodded.

"Despite our alliance with the "Bloodborne Killer", you are still our most important ally. If not for you, that bastard Darkling Invasion would have taken over Obsidian by now," said Galaxia.

Ashes nodded his head. Not 10 years ago, Darklings, or Barbarians from the north attack Equestria. The bloodbornes fought them within the mountains, and lost many, but spared many from the near 20,000 strong barbarian force. While 15,000 of them retreated back to the No-pony's land, the bloodbornes only lost around 40-50 of their warriors. While it was still a threat, it would be a while until they returned.

"I'm not sure about jumping into this... We should talk this over, make a plan," Said Eyries. "Perhaps tell Wolfsbane?"

"If you wouldn't mind, can you give us the afternoon?" Asked Ashes, and Galaxia nodded.

"Of course. And please use the front entrance this time," Said Galaxia.

As the group was walking out, Netari stood alone, before Storm turned around, smiling.

"Well, you're coming aren't you?" asked Storm.

"I-I suppose I am, den," said Netari, before trotting towards the group.
